We need to be Gluten & Egg Free. Just tell cashier you have allergy problems and they buzz for a manager to come out. Gluten free chicken and ribs use a dry rub versus the liquid that is served on the precooked ones.
I had the ribs and wife had the chicken. The side on typical menu are NOT GF.
The manger had a book of all the allergy free products. With our meat we each got a side salad and watermelon. We shared a bottle of water. Meal is entered in by manger and prepared fresh in a clean designated area in the kitchen, so it took about 10-15 minutes.
Our family members tried a rib and some of our chicken and said it was WAY better than theirs.
Loved it! Great value. Our 5 days there, we only spent 30.00 a day (for 2) eating in parks. Ate breakfast in our condo at Bonnet Creek and dinner at some of the Bonnet Creek locations, still less than 35.00 for 2

DH was desperate to try this for the spare ribs as he's heard such good things about them. He had the ribs and chicken and we ordered the onion rings and fries to share. I am not much of a meat-eater so I ate his coleslaw with some onion rings and fries (not a nutritionally sound choice but hey I'm on holiday!!) He said the meat and the flavour of the rub was excellent. Our only complaint was that the onion rings were a little greasy but nevertheless very tasty. Plenty of seating if you are prepared to walk about 30 yards to the back of the seating area, and thankfully the birds weren't agressive at all.
Pros:
excellent for the carnivores in your groupCons:

Once again, we were not disappointed with our dinner here. Plenty of food, and it tastes great. I didn't care for the beans, but DH loved them. We like to sit nearest the water where we can see Mt. Everest.
If you are bothered by birds, you may not like the outdoor seating here. There were several birds walking around our table waiting for something to drop.
Pros:
Taste, portions, seating areaCons:

This is far and away one of the best restaurants in all of WDW. The food is great and a great value as well. You get a ton for the price paid. The seating area is huge and keeps going back so don't stop if the first section is full. There are many sections to right and back.
Pros:
the food, massive amounts of seatingCons:

I'm a big fan of BBQ. And that being said the Flame Tree never disappoints. If this place were open for breakfast, I'd eat here. This is the only restaurant I've ever eaten in that for dessert, I ordered a second entree. It is that good.
This time i had lunch on August 28th and ordered the chicken & ribs combo. The portions were generous. The chicken was moist and meaty as were the ribs. The Flame Tree has a choice of sauces and you can take as much as you want. The baked beans had a great "Q" flavor and the coleslaw rounded out the dish perfectly. At about $15.00 this is the most expensive dish on the menu and it's worth every cent. My wife had the smoked turkey breast and though she isn't the fan of BBQ that I am she though it was excellent.
The outdoor seating area is large and I noticed that most people go to the first two seating areas not realizing that there are 3 or 4 more large seating areas around back. Those who complain about limited seating must not have gone around nearer the water. The birds are there, and will come close. But I never had any issue with them and they never saw one bother a guest. Two entrees, two drinks and a side order of fries came in at about $35.00. A great deal if there ever was one.

In all of our 30 trips to WDW, we never ate here before. I am so glad we did. The food was very nice and portions very big. We loved the outdoor seating area which is extensive. It was 90 and super humid, but it was quite pleasant under the trees. It was a little difficult to get our food as the party in front of us were trying to wheel a stroller in the pick up area which is small. We will definitely eat here again.
Pros:

This is one of the best counter service restaurants in all of Walt Disney World! My personal favorites are the smoked chicken salad and the onion rings. My boyfriend loves the ribs and chicken. Everything is pretty reasonably priced for the amount of food you get, and you have a great view of you sit by the water.
Pros:
delicious food, good value, great seating areasCons:

My two friends and I dined here around 1:30pm on 7/25. We were on the DDP. We all ordered the chicken & ribs combo. I got the the Key Lime Mousse and the other two chose the Chocolate Mousse.
Everyone enjoyed the coleslaw and ribs. My friends thought the chicken was very good; I thought it was fatty, but I normally only eat white meat breasts so that may have been the problem.
We enjoyed our desserts, but none of us liked the "coating" on the mousse. My friend also loved the Safari Amber beer.
It was lunch time, but it had just downpoured and was still drizzling, so finding a seat was not difficult.
Will definitely return!
Pros:
Friendly cast, good food, easy to find seatingCons:

Ate here on 6/10. Food was good. Drinks were over filled making it difficult to carry without spilling especially when juggling multiple trays with a stroller, and trusting your 6 year old with one of the drinks. Drinks should come with lids!

Visited Animal Kingdom on 5-30-13. Got there at park opening and knew by lunch time we wanted to eat at Flame Tree BBQ from previous visits. They opened at 11AM and we ordered the half chicken and rib combo and subbed the coleslaw for little packs of grapes and carrots, also a side of fries and a hot dog. The food was very tasty. DH, DS8, & DD5 as well as myself all ate and were satisfied and full without having to order individual items for everyone plus it saved us a bundle by sharing as we are not big eaters. The only downside with the whole eat outside thing was the animals. This little duck would not leave us alone. It never went away and I think it's because people feed the birds & critters that hang around the table area. I love animals but I would like to eat without being harassed by the local wildlife life but on the other hand it is "Animal Kingdom" 😊
