REVIEW: Yes, We’re Genuinely VERY Excited About This Disney’s Animal Kingdom Simple Snack

It’s not often you hear us recommend pre-packaged snacks in Disney World, because, as we say super often, there are SO many other great snacks out there, no matter what park you’re in.

However, we also understand that sometimes you just want something more familiar, and pre-packaged snacks are easier than scouting for something fresh and familiar. If you find yourself craving a solid bag of chips, we’re here to tell you that there’s exactly ONE place you should go, and it’s in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Over at the Harambe Fruit Market, you’ll find lots of classic snacks. There are Mickey pretzels, hot dogs, churros, mini Babybel cheese, Cuties oranges, and bags of assorted chips. Usually the chips are on the absolute bottom of our list, but during a recent visit, we noticed that something had changed.

Yes, that’s a new bag of chips available for $3.29, which is A LOT to pay for chips, but usually you’ll only find Lay’s, which are fine, but they’re pretty meh (especially at that price point). Now, though, there are Metro Deli chips available at that same price! Not only is this a pretty significant shift away from only having Lay’s, but these chips are also way better quality. And for the SAME price, not a price increase? Yes, please!

This bag of chips is also larger than the Lay’s chips, which is also fantastic for the price. Now, if you’re getting the hot dog meal, you will still get Lay’s chips, and you’re unable to substitute them out, which is a bit of a bummer, but it’s possible that could change in the future.

Now, we still suggest grabbing a number of other snacks before going to chips, unless you’re really craving them. A few of our other favorite snacks around the park are:

• Mr. Kamal’s Seasoned Fries
• Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich at Terra Treats
• Family Churros at Eight Spoon Cafe
• Practically anything from Nomad Lounge
