While many people can’t imagine using their phones in Disney World so much that they’d need a portable charger for it, we read those comments and immediately think, “…so this person may not have been to Disney World for a while.”

Here’s the thing — you CAN avoid using your phone, if you’d like, but you’re going to be waiting in wildly long food lines (when you could just use Mobile Order instead). Or, you may be waiting in long attraction lines that will go down in a few hours (but if you’re not watching wait times in the My Disney Experience App, you may not know that). You might also miss out on some really important photo and/or video moments. If you’re like us, you definitely need a portable charger, and we’ve made a list of the best ones on the market so you don’t feel lost!
We’re the first to admit that FuelRods aren’t the most powerful portable chargers out there, and won’t get you multiple chargers in one sitting. The key thing about them is their convenience.

Purchase them online ahead of time for a bit of a discount, and then you can trade them out at the FuelRod stations in the parks whenever you need, for NO CHARGE! While we do like to keep ours when possible and just charge them overnight to make sure they’re ready to go for the next day, if you forget, or yours is glitching and you need a fully charged one, it’s easy-peasy. The ones you’ll get from the machines are fully charged, so you don’t need to worry about charging them up before you use them. And if you get one that’s not, for some reason? No worries, just trade it out again!
Recently, Disney World parks introduced an upgraded FuelRod, called the FuelRod MAX10, and at first, we didn’t see why it was going to be an upgrade. Needless to say, we’ve learned our lesson.

These things are POWERFUL and we’re genuinely impressed with how much juice it has in it to charge our phone. Not to mention, if your phone has wireless charging capabilities with MagSafe, you can place it right on the back of your phone magnetically! It doesn’t charge as fast, but if that’s worth not using a cord to you, then you’ll love it.

And yes, you can trade these out in the parks as well as needed! Now, this one we do recommend trying your best to charge it overnight to make sure you’ve got enough charge for the next day, but in case of an emergency, trading it for a fully charged one costs nothing.
We’re also really big fans of the INIU Portable Chargers, especially because the little pawprint lets us see how much battery is left with just a quick look!

What we also really appreciate about this charger is that, if you have any issues with it within three years of purchasing it, you can get another one from the company free of charge, thanks to its warranty. It’s lightweight, compact, charges our phone up fast, and is easy to put into our pocket without any issues.

It’s also very budget-friendly, which we appreciate. When you’re already spending so much money to go on your trip, it may be difficult to get yourself to buy additional items, even if you know you’ll need them. This one, being on the more budget-friendly side, helps a lot!
We’re also big fans of the Anker 621 Magnetic Portable Charger, but the catch is that it can only be used with phones that are MagSafe compatible and have a magnetic case.

This charger is especially great to use when you need a boost during your day, but you need something thin that won’t impact using your phone too much. Since it’s also got internal temperature control, it’s also great to use on hotter days, since it’s less likely to overheat.

The cord that comes with it is to charge the actual charger back at your hotel or back at home, so it’s 100% essential to ensure your phone and case are compatible before purchasing this one!
