Animal Kingdom is changing so much right now! It feels like this park has been experiencing its winter glow-up for months now, and we are eagerly awaiting those spring flowers to bloom. Part of its “winter glow up” is the permanent closure of DinoLand U.S.A. to make way for Pueblo Esperanza.
Another part of the park’s changes is the updates to a hidden gem quick service in the Africa section of the park. Harambe Market has been closed for months, but we might finally know when it’s reopening.
The quick service near Kilmanjaro Safaris might finally have a reopening date! Today, we noticed on Disney’s website that the restaurant is once again showing availability starting on March 1st, 2026.
Disney previously announced that the restaurant would reopen in early 2026, although they have yet to officially confirm that date. The restaurant’s menu is expected to change because of the permanent closure of Restaurantosaurus on February 2nd.
We’re expecting the new menu to include items like burgers, chicken strips, and hot dogs to make up for the loss of the DinoLand familiar favorites. Previously, this quick service offered up items like rice bowls, pita wraps, salads, and fun desserts. We really enjoyed these, so we’re personally hoping we see a mix of the menus, plus some new items to test out!
Harambe Market will fill the void of Restaurantosaurus for the time being, but be warned. This restaurant only has outdoor seating, unlike the DinoLand quick service. This means if the rain comes, you might want to carry your food elsewhere. We will have to wait for more indoor seating when Pueblo Esperanza opens in 2027. Disney has already teased that the land will include a large hacienda that will be one of the largest quick-service restaurants in Disney World.
