When Is Sweethearts’ Nite Returning to Disneyland in 2026?

While visiting Disneyland Resort by itself is a fun, exciting, magical experience, there are special events that many Disney fans have on their bucket list.

Lots of these special events are called after hours events, which basically are separate ticketed events (that cost an additional fee) in the park that are often themed, and allow you to experience many of the park’s offerings with lower crowds and shorter wait times. High on many people’s lists is Sweethearts’ Nite, which usually takes place in the beginning part of the year. Will it be returning for 2026? Well, here’s what we know so far.

This year (2025), Sweethearts’ Nite took place on the following dates:

  • January 21st, 23rd, 28th
  • February 4th, 6th, 9th, 11th, 13th

These dates were announced on December 5th, 2024, which means Disney isn’t behind on their announcement for this year — we still have over a month to go if Disney stays on this same announcement timeline for 2026 dates.

In 2024, a certain number of tickets went on sale for Inspire Magic Key holders on December 10th, 2024, then all other Magic Key holders got access on December 11th, 2024. Tickets then opened up to anyone on December 12th, 2024, and it didn’t take long to sell out! Disneyland’s after hours events as a whole are known for using a virtual queue and selling out, so be prepared to grab yours when they go on sale, which will likely be no earlier than 9AM PT on the Disneyland website. Again, though, we are still waiting for that official on sale date for 2026 dates!

For the past few years, this event has included things like:

  • A royal cavalcade traveling through Disneyland park
  • Dance along with princesses, princes, and Disney characters at the royal ball near “it’s a small world”
  • Stitch and Angel’s dance party at the Tomorrowland stage
  • Unique photo backdrops depicting Disney’s iconic scenes of love and friendship, including Lady and the Tramp, Tangled, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, and more
  • Special music and lighting around the park
  • Special sweet and savory treats only available for Sweethearts’ Nite
  • Dining packages for select restaurants

This also is far from the only Disneyland After Dark event we’ve seen in the past — we’re also really hoping to see Pride Nite, Star Wars Nite, and Disney Channel Nite return for 2026. We’ll be sure to let you know the MOMENT Disney announces what will be returning!
