NEWS: Disney Announces the Return of a Fan-Favorite Character for the Holidays at Disneyland

We can’t believe it’s almost that time of year — the most wonderful time of the year! Well, at least it is at the Disney parks, because you know they love to start the holiday celebrations SUPER early. Like, they already had decorations up at Disneyland BEFORE Halloween even happened. What?!

Disneyland’s holiday season officially kicks off on November 14th and runs through January 7th, 2026. It won’t be long before we start to see MORE holiday decorations in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Something, or should we say someone, extra special is coming BACK for the holiday season, and we have to talk about it!

We can’t wait for all the fun holiday treats coming to the park, including exclusive character meet-and-greets, the dazzling Christmas parade, the spectacular Christmas nighttime fireworks, holiday goodies, and more! We didn’t even mention the Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays! We’re seriously so excited for the holiday season at Disneyland, and we’re not the only ones. A certain Marvel character is also very excited, so much so that he’ll be joining in on the festivities once again!

That’s right, Deadpool will be back to tell holiday stories! Disney confirmed that The Story Time with Deadpool Holiday Special will be back for the holiday season in Avengers Campus! Deadpool made his debut in Disneyland last year, and now he’s back to make you laugh during the holidays. Who knows…maybe his best friend, Wolverine, will show up too.

There are going to be so many characters coming out for the holidays at Disneyland. What’s Christmas without Santa Claus? You’ll be able to meet Santa at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in California Adventure through December 24th. You’ll also be able to meet him at the Disneyland Hotel, Pixar Place Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa from November 27th through December 24th.

Make sure to bring out your best Christmas outfits, because Mickey, Minnie, and a lot of their friends will be dressed in their holiday best on Buena Vista Street. You’ll also get to see Carl, Russell, and Doug in Grizzly Peak. Oh, and don’t forget to watch Mickey and his friends during Mickey’s Happy Holidays, a holiday procession. That’s not all, as Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season is also coming back, as well as A Musical Christmas with Mariachi Alegría de Disneyland & Miguel. We told you — lots of characters to see, and lots of special Christmas entertainment!
