Disney Is Opening a NEW 'Moana' Restaurant Next Week!

Did you know Disney is opening a brand-new restaurant inspired by Moana this week?!

We’re already starting to plan a vacation to Hong Kong Disneyland because they’re getting Disney’s first-ever Moana-themed restaurant, and we are beyond excited for it! Take a look at what we can expect from it.

The brand-new Moana-inspired restaurant is set to open at Hong Kong Disneyland on September 12th! Disney has given us a look at some amazing concept art for this new restaurant, and we’re seriously getting jealous that it’s not closer to us. From the flowers and nods to the movie, this restaurant is filled with details any Moana fan will adore.

According to the concept art, the dining spot is called Wayfinders’ Table, and it will be replacing The Tahitian Terrace. This is a fitting location for the restaurant as it’s close to the Moana: A Homecoming Celebration stage show in Adventureland.

The concept art shows that the dining location will feature surfboard-shaped menu boards, colourful floral garlands, and the Kakamora. The menu hasn’t been revealed yet, nor the inside of the restaurant, so it’s going to be a fun surprise when this opens very soon!

In other Hong Kong Disneyland news, something else will be coming to the park! There is going to be a all NEW villains party coming very soon — and here for a limited time. From September 19th until November 2nd, your favorite Disney villains will be taking over Hong Kong Disneyland for “Uninvited! A Villain Takeover Party.” The party will feature a cavalcade, street party, and a musical spectacular.

If both of these weren’t reason enough to visit Hong Kong Disneyland this year, they are also in the midst of celebrating its 20th Anniversary! The grand celebration kicked off on June 28th, and it runs through May 2026. The party offers live entertainment like the “Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle!’, “Friendtastic!” Parade, and a nighttime show called “Momentous: Party in the Sky.” If you have a trip planned, go hungry, because there are 80 new food and drink options. Oh, and of course, more than 300 pieces of merchandise for the celebration!
