Heads up to guests staying at one of Disney World’s most popular hotels: construction has arrived.
Currently, Disney’s Contemporary Resort — one of the Disney World Resort’s original hotels — has a construction project going on in its famous “Grand Canyon Concourse” that may affect your experience at one of the hotel’s most popular eateries: The Contempo Café.
According to Disney, refurbishment work will take place near Contempo Café between 2 PM and 5 PM now through mid-October. You may hear construction noise during these hours.
The Contempo Café is the hotel’s quick-service restaurant, offering an excellent range of entrees, snacks, desserts, and breakfast items. The menu includes staples like the Bounty Breakfast Platter, Mickey Waffles, a Loaded Totcho Bowl, and a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Multigrain Croissant for breakfast, and offerings like chicken strips, flatbreads, burgers, and sandwiches for lunch, while dinner adds shrimp and chicken rice bowls.

And of course, there’s the Cinderella Cupcake. A sweet treat of the highest royal order, this is one of my personal favorite Disney World desserts, and I would highly recommend giving it a try if you have a sweet tooth. The cupcake features vanilla cake with vanilla crème custard filling, buttercream, a white chocolate slipper, and fondant pumpkin! Nothing says classic Disney like a Cinderella Cupcake, right?
Construction at Disney’s Contemporary Resort may affect the dining experience at the Contempo Café until mid-October. Stay tuned to AE for further Disney dining updates.
