REVIEW: You Won’t Find Anything Else Like This Restaurant in Disney World

When you are in Disney World, your dining options aren’t limited by what is in the four theme parks! Nope, you can also dine at the Disney World hotels or make a stop by Disney Springs for even more wonderful options.

The Edison

Here at AllEars, we know all the ins and outs of Disney restaurants — including where you should definitely eat, and where you should skip. We recently stopped by The Edison at Disney Springs and are bringing you our FULL review!

Background

The Edison is inspired by the Los Angeles venue of the same name. It is a lavish, “Industrial Gothic” style restaurant that is themed to a 1920s-period power plant. It is themed to recall an exuberant era of invention and imagination. On the menu, you will find classic American food presented in modern ways alongside craft cocktails.

Inside The Edison

Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant.

Atmosphere

You will feel like you have been transported back to the 1920s the moment you step into The Edison. The restaurant is two stories tall, and you overlook the lower level as you enter the restaurant.

We love the vibes!

Make sure you take some time to explore the restaurant; there is a lot to see! You can stop by The Edison for lunch or dinner, or join them for one of their special events like the Shaken & Stirred Cocktail Classes.

So much to look at!

But enough about that, what are we eating?!

Food & Drinks

Starting off with our drink. We got the Strawberry Fields Forever for $18. It is made with Wheatley vodka, St-Germain liqueur, honey, lime juice, strawberries, and mint.

Strawberry Fields Forever

This is full of sweet strawberry flavor, and reminds us a bit of a strawberry limeade with a hint of mint since the alcohol adds some herbiness. It was easy to sip on, largely thanks to the fact that it tasted like  REAL strawberry, not artificial strawberry.

We loved it!

As an appetizer, we got the Circuit Board for $19. It is made with handmade buttermilk biscuits, country ham, hatch pepper cheese, pickles, ranch pretzels, apple butter, and WhistlePig barrel-aged maple butter.

Circuit Board

We loved this overall, but the biscuits were our favorite part — they were soft and fluffy with lots of buttery flavor. The seasoned pretzels were also really addictive and reminded us of Dot’s Pretzels. The pickles were fresh, crisp, and tangy, and we couldn’t get enough of the apple butter (but the other dip, the maple butter, was delicious as well)! Our only complaint is that we wish there were maybe some crackers to use with the cheese and ham.

Consider us big fans!

We also grabbed the Pulled Pork Hand Pies for $17. It is made with a flaky pie dough, slow-roasted pork, cheddar cheese, and cilantro garlic aioli.

Pulled Pork Hand Pies

This dough was beautifully flaky and buttery, and the aioli added a lot of great herby and creamy flavor to the dish that went really well with the hand pies. The pork inside was tender and juicy, and the cheese inside brought it all together. We’d totally get them again!

Delicious!

Next up was the PB, B&B Electric Co. for $19, which is butter-griddled sourdough, peanut butter, smoked bacon, banana, and l.burbank fries.

PB, B&B Electric Co.

This is 100% for everyone who grew up on banana and peanut butter sandwiches. It’s filled with gooey peanut butter, soft bananas, crispy bacon, and then sandwiched between two beautifully done pieces of bread. However, it could likely be too sweet for a lot of people — it felt a bit more like a dessert to us!

Blast from the past!

Finally, for dessert, we got the Cast Iron Apple Pie for $15. It features flaky pie crust, honey crisp apples, cinnamon, vanilla gelato, and bourbon toffee sauce.

Cast Iron Apple Pie

On top is a disc of pie crust, and then the apple filling is underneath. The gelato on top was creamy with lots of vanilla flavor, and we loved how it contrasted with the crispness of the pie crust. The flavors were spot on, and if you love apple pie, we absolutely recommend this!
