Welcome to Magic Kingdom on one of the biggest holidays of the year — Fourth of July!

If you’re looking to spend today in the park, you’ll want to be prepared for some higher-than-normal crowds. But is that the case this year? We’re live in the park to show you in real time!
We started our day at the Transportation and Ticket Center where the line for security was…well, not as long as we expected, actually! Lines to get into the park also weren’t too long when we entered right around 11 AM.

Crowds around the park were lighter than we expected, too! That wasn’t unwelcome, but it was completely different than what we were thinking we’d see.

Wait times weren’t looking too bad either, further confirming that crowds didn’t seem to be any different than we’ve seen on other summer days recently. The highest waits in the park ranged from 45 to 90 minutes right around noon.

In fact, some of the longest lines we saw outside were actually for the Liberty Square Riverboat! Not that surprising, since it IS the Fourth of July and this attraction is closing on July 7th to make way for Piston Peak.

However, since Disney shows the rare Fourth of July fireworks show in Magic Kingdom only two days a year (July 3rd and 4th), we know we can expect to see crowds congregate in the Hub as early as an hour before fireworks time tonight.

This show is called Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky, and it’s pretty rare! We recommend getting a spot for exclusive parades like this at least an hour in advance for a great spot, and at least half an hour in advance for a decent spot.

We’re always here to bring you the latest and greatest Disney World news, so stay tuned to AllEars!

Would you ever spend the 4th of July in Disney World? Tell us in the comments!
We were there and it was horrible how they just crowded everybody up in front of the castle! There should have been a dedicated spot for ECV users, we were jammed into the middle of the crowd and could only see what was going on in the sky, none of the projections. If we ever come back here for the 4th, we will try to get up on the upper levels of the train station to watch the fireworks.
Spent one fourth in each one of tje parks but at that time it was wall to wall people but it seems they are losing customers so it might be fun again
