There are certain Disney World activities we consider to be a big NO whenever we visit…

Don’t get it twisted: We make it a point to try anything and everything at the Disney Parks. Over the decades, we’ve accumulated plenty of habits and opinions — including refusing to do certain things when we’re out and about at Disney World.
We’ve spent so much time at Disney Parks all over the world that we’ve formed aversions to certain activities. Here are 3 things we simply won’t do anymore at Disney World!
Wait
Okay, so we have to preface this point by really emphasizing that we’re Disney experts because we spend so much time at the parks. You can literally find us at Disney World and Disneyland nonstop. Because we’re always there, we don’t treat our park days like once-in-a-lifetime events…and obviously they’re not.

At Disney World — the most visited theme park resort IN THE WORLD — wait times can clearly get very long. Whether it be lines for food, rides, or merchandise, it doesn’t matter — waiting is part of a Disney World vacation.

Whenever we don’t have to, we simply won’t wait. If a queue is long outside in the blistering sun, or wait times will stop us from getting on with our day, we make the calculated judgment to do something else.

We’ll also sometimes opt for Lightning Lanes if we’re pressed for time. Again, we have to reiterate that we understand that our situation is different since we’re at the parks so often. But you don’t get to be Disney World experts without visiting over and over and over again!
Lug Merch
Becoming a pack mule at Disney World isn’t ideal. Of course, you’ll see families walking around the parks with a ton of souvenirs in hand — but you’ll hardly see us do that…

Carrying around bags all day is a pain. Not to mention, getting them to fit on rides is another problem.

Instead, we do one of two things. The first option is to get your purchases shipped to your house. While Disney no longer delivers items to your room, you can still get things shipped home.

The second option is to get a locker. Locker rental prices at the theme parks are as follows:
- Small: $10 per day
- Large: $12 per day
- Jumbo (Magic Kingdom and EPCOT only): $15 per day
The water parks offer $10 per day for the standard locker and $15 per day for the large.

Can you put a price on convenience? After plenty of bad experiences lugging stuff around during a hot Florida day, we sure think so!
Yucking Someone’s Yum
Okay, we’re going to level with you. While Disneyland holds the title of “Happiest Place on Earth”, that doesn’t mean Disney World can’t be just as happy. But happiness ultimately comes down to whether or not guests are receptive to it.

To us, that simply means embrace happiness! Embrace joy! If someone’s excited about a ride, show, restaurant, etc — don’t be a grumpy gills! Be happy with them and don’t be a vibe-killer.

Everyone is definitely entitled to their own opinions. We just refrain from talking down to someone excited for something at Disney World. We certainly have our preferences, and we don’t love everything at Disney World. But if you want to experience something and are excited to do so, DO IT, and we hope you really enjoy it!
