These next few years are going to bring big changes to Disney World. Magic Kingdom is getting a Cars-themed expansion in Frontierland plus a new Villains-themed land.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting a new villains show plus a new Monsters, Inc. land. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting a new Zootopia show and a new land, Pueblo Esperanza. Disney World hotels are also getting some changes. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is getting a new lobby. Another Disney World resort, though, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, is getting a new policy change.
If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
If you book a campsite at Fort Wilderness, the policy for campsites is changing. Previously, you could book for up to ten people per campsite. However, as of January 1st, 2026, you can only book for up to eight people per campsite. Disney made the announcement on their website for Fully Equipped Campsites:

Each campsite still includes privacy-enhancing landscaping, water, cable television, and electrical hook-ups, a picnic table, and a charcoal grill. Most campsites also include a sewer hook-up, while some permit pets.

So if you were planning on getting a campsite in 2026, you’ll want to keep in mind that the new policy will allow two fewer guests than the current policy.
Also, if you’re staying at Fort Wilderness Resort, you don’t want to miss out on the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue — it’s a rollicking good time.
