Disney continues to create new ways for guests to be immersed in their theme park experiences.

When you’re in Disney World, Disney wants you to have the most magical time and really be part of the magic. You become part of the stories as you ride the rides, see the shows, and immerse yourself in all the wonder of Disney. One way Disney has developed to do this is through the MagicBand+ bracelets you can choose to wear during your vacation, and now a NEW feature has been added to these bands!
Disney started using MagicBands many years ago with the first generation of bands, which let you use your bracelet to scan your ticket and the old FastPass+ tickets, open your hotel door, and pay for meals at Disney World restaurants. These were basic, non-rechargeable bands that were used primarily as a convenient alternative to carrying around tickets, hotel key cards, and more.

Then, in 2022, Disney World introduced the MagicBand+. These new bands are rechargeable and interact with objects and shows in the parks by lighting up. We’ve seen them interact with objects in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, certain statues around the parks, and the nighttime shows like Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom.

Now, a new feature has just come to your MagicBand+! If you use a MagicBand+ in Disney World, you’ll want to go check out a few of the stage shows at the parks. We headed to watch a few shows at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and noticed that our MagicBand+ now lights up with the characters and songs on stage!
You’ll see your MagicBand+ light up at Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, and Beauty and the Beast — Live on Stage, plus more in other parks like Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond and Turtle Talk with Crush!

It was really cool getting to see our band’s lights dancing to the music of these shows!

It makes you feel like you’re part of the magic of Disney’s entertainment. As if these shows weren’t already immersive, Disney has created another element of bringing you along for the ride.

If you don’t have a MagicBand+, you don’t need one to enjoy the parks, but if you would like to take advantage of all they offer you while on your vacation, you can purchase them at several shops around the parks and hotels.

For those of you who use MagicBand+, we hope you enjoy this newly added feature while you’re exploring the Most Magical Place on Earth!
