Bring your popcorn and your 3-D glasses — we’re going to the MOVIES! More specifically, we’re going to Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, a great Disney hotel that offers a fun, budget-friendly option for families.
So, why are we talking you to All-Star Movies? Well, there’s an important closure happening VERY soon, and it may impact your visit. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World this July, you need to hear this news.
OK, so first, we need to do a little explaining. Unlike some of Disney’s pricier resorts, like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, the All-Star hotels only have ONE dining option. Each All-Star Hotel has its own food court, complete with classic quick-service menu items like burgers, pizza, and salads.
While the food isn’t exactly revolutionary, it serves its purpose and fills you up after a long day in the parks. We can’t lie — when it’s 10:30PM, we’re tired, and just getting back from the theme parks, an order of chicken tenders really hits the spot.
Now, let’s get to the news. Disney recently announced that from July 1st through July 31st, the World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort be under refurbishment.
While the food court is under refurbishment, you can use the My Disney Experience app to order food and drinks. Look for signs around the lobby and near the World Premiere Food Court areas — Disney will post QR codes that can help you place your order.
Disney also notes that the mobile order menu will only offer select items. If you want a full food court experience, you can walk over to All-Star Music or All-Star Sports instead! Both other food courts will remain fully open.
The good news is that this refurbishment should only last for about one month. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes out for additional updates. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
