If you’re not already chomping at the bit to experience Disney’s newest tropical destination while sailing one of the Disney Cruise Line ships then this should put you right there with us!

While we’re already picking out our island-inspired outfits to match Mickey and Minnie’s while visiting Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, we’re already eager to know EXACTLY what else will be there to do! We’re taking a close look at everything Disney has released so far to see if we can find any hidden clues and unravel the mystery!
Disney’s newest tropical destination Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is sure to be a delight.

Disney’s already shared several versions of concept art of what we can expect while we’re there and with the first sailings gearing up soon to arrive, we’re unpacking every little detail we can to learn even more about this place before we arrive. Let’s take a closer look at everything we’ve found.
Junkanoo Influence
It’s probably no big secret now that Junkanoo culture will be pretty prevalent throughout the entire destination.

You’ll be able to make connections to the Junkanoo spirit on the island in everything from the decor and architecture down to the food and fashion (including what Mickey and his friends will be wearing!).
Culture
Disney has plans to build the Goombay Cultural Center you’ll be able to visit while exploring the island.

While there haven’t been many details announced yet officially, Disney has stated it will be a “colorful arts and cultural pavilion” located at the heart of Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. We’re hoping this means that we’ll get to learn more from special programs and local artists about the traditions and natural beauty of The Bahamas whether by self-guided experience or maybe an in-person representative.
Local Port Adventures
There will be so much to see and do around Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point you won’t possibly be able to do it all, but we’re hoping to get some great background on the native people and their traditions.

Disney is known for providing top-notch port adventures at their destinations, so we’d love to see something that could incorporate local offerings in things like music, food, and the history of the island.
Premium Activities
Premium offerings are Disney’s way to really plus up your experience.

We’re hoping to see options for ways to really relax and refocus while visiting through things like spa treatments and massages and private cabanas to rent.
Family Fun
The main water play area from the concept art Disney has released looks like it may be land-based, which is a tad bit different from Pelican Plunge on Castaway Cay.

True-True BBQ is said to be “market-style family dining” so we may be in for a different kind of food setup than what we’ve seen at Cookies and Cookies Too at Castaway Cay.

Games and other sports could be a big hit to play while you’re having fun in the sun. The concept art Disney has shared reveals plans for a few places to play games with family and friends like a gaming pavilion, gaga ball pit, volleyball court, and more.
Separate Beaches
Similar to what we’ve seen at Castaway Cay, Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point will also have a family beach section and a separate adults-only beach.

This may also result in a similar setup to the new dining options like what we’ve seen with Cookies (near the family beach) and Cookies Too (near the adults-only beach.)
Indoor & Outdoor Seating For Dining
While we’re still on the outside looking in, we may see an option for indoor dining.

The design Disney has shared so far features a building with large glass windows around the outside and a few tables set up outside, possibly indicating both indoor and outdoor seating options.
Kids Only Areas
Sebastian’s Cove is the name of the upcoming water splash-play area themed after The Little Mermaid.

In addition to the play area, Disney has indicated that a section nearby will be available to kids who are looking to eat their food nearby and get back to playing as they’ve finished. We think this could be a stellar idea!
There’s still so much left to be confirmed for Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and trying to look at all the potentially hidden details really leaves us even more excited for what’s to come! Be sure to stay tuned with us at All Ears as we learn more!
