Disney Cruise Line is a fun, family-focused cruise option!

You can visit your favorite characters and visit Disney’s Islands to take in the views and sun. Each ship has something for everyone. You can find clubs and activities for adults, teens, and even your youngest family members. But we wanted to let you know that Disney is making some updates to these experiences that may impact your next cruise.
On each of their ships, Disney offers a variety of youth clubs. Each ship has Disney’s Oceaneer Club, Disney’s Oceaneer Lab, Edge and Vibe youth clubs. These are themed experiences for kids of different ages. The experiences vary on each ship, but the age ranges for the clubs are the same across the fleet.

Up til now, the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Labs have been available to kids ages 3-12. But Disney will be changing these age ranges based on guest feedback and as a way to “enhance the youth activities experience for [Disney’s] youngest and tween guests.” As of departures on and after December 21st, 2023, these two clubs will be available for kids 3-10. Specially guided activities are available for those aged 3-4 years old.
Unfortunately, this could really impact your trip if you’re bringing friends or siblings who are between the two age groups of 10 and 12 years old!

But don’t worry, the 11 and 12-year-olds aren’t left out! They may continue to hang out at Edge which is available to kids 11-14 years old. Vibe will be the “cool” place to hang for the older teens aged 14-17 years old. Both of these options are not changing and will continue to be a great place for the older kids to visit.

Disney Cruise ships also have the “it’s a small world” nursery aboard if you plan to bring younger children, such as toddlers under 3. And each ship has fun spaces for adults (because not just the kids deserve to have fun on a Disney ship)! If you didn’t bring kids with you or you need some “adult time” away from your younglings, you can visit the nightclubs and lounges aboard each of the ships. No matter how old you are (or feel), you can find fun aboard the fleet!

You don’t want to miss out on the fun on a Disney Cruise! If you already have a cruise booked for after December 21st with kids, be on the lookout for an email explaining all the changes to the youth clubs.
And in the meantime, keep following All Ears!
