Disney World Reveals Potential Reopening Date for Kali River Rapids

If you’ve been keeping up with closures in Disney World, then you may have gathered that it’s refurbishment season in the parks!

The Skyliner recently reopened after its annual refurbishment, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will be closed for months, and several other attractions are getting some TLC. Now, Disney just dropped a hint online about when one of these closures could end!

Water rides tend to close for a bit at the beginning of each year, and that includes Kali River Rapids at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The ride closed on January 8th, 2024, and later announced a reopening timeline of mid-March.

However, on the Disney World website, we noticed a clue about a specific reopening date. When choosing March 16th, 2024 on the Kali River Rapids page, we saw hours pop up! It currently has operating hours listed from 9AM to 6PM and there are no hours listed on days prior.

This isn’t an official confirmation from Disney, but this does line up with the mid-March reopening timeline posted on the website. These hours can change, however, many attractions DO end up reopening when the hours are listed.

So we’ll be on the lookout for an official update from Disney, and we’ll let you know when Kali River Rapids has reopened. In the meantime, stay tuned to AllEars!
