So you’ve got your Disney World trip planned, and you’re especially excited about visiting Magic Kingdom. But hold up! There are some days you want to make sure to AVOID that park if you can.

Why? Because on some days, Magic Kingdom will close early, meaning you will lose valuable park time. But what exactly ARE those days? Well, we’re going to tell you!
Mickey’s Not-So-Very Scary Halloween Party
On the nights of Mickey’s Not-So-Very Scary Halloween Party, Magic Kingdom will close at 6PM and only be open to those visitors who have tickets for the party.

Fortunately, we know the dates for this year’s party, so here are the dates to AVOID Magic Kingdom if you’re not attending the party:
- August 11th, 15th, 18th, 22nd, 25th, and 29th
- September 1st, 4th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 22nd, 24th, 26th, 28th, and 29th
- October 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 26th, 27th, 29th, and 31st
- November 1st
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
You’ll also have to keep an eye out for dates when Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Like the Halloween Party, Magic Kingdom will close at 6PM on those dates.

We also know the dates for those parties. They are:
- November: 9th, 10th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, 26th, 28th, and 30th
- December: 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 21st, and 22nd
Beware! Other Dates Magic Kingdom Closes Early
So here’s the thing, sometimes Magic Kingdom hosts special events, like Cast Member events. There are also corporate parties often held at Magic Kingdom. These generally happen on random dates, so you may not have a lot of advance notice about these events, which will also cause Magic Kingdom to close early.

So how will you know when that’s the case? Well, the first thing you’ll need to do is keep a constant eye on the Disney World calendar and park hours. You can access this information on the Disney World website and through the My Disney Experience app. Check carefully and make sure that your Magic Kingdom day won’t be cut short by an early closing. Note that these events can pop up even after you’ve checked, so always double-check those hours before you commit to going to Magic Kingdom on one specific day.

We will also try to keep you updated on anything that we spot on the Disney World calendar, like changes to Magic Kingdom park hours, so you’ll also want to keep checking AllEars for more!
