We're Expecting Some BIG News From Disney World Next Week

We know it’s not even “officially” summer yet, but don’t tell us we can’t celebrate Christmas!

Okay, maybe you’re right. It is just a little bit early. But for Disney World, it’s just about right! We’ve only got a few months to plan those holiday season vacations, which means it’s almost time for some big announcements.

Disney recently released the foodie guide for the Halfway to the Holidays event, which takes place from June 13th-15th in 2023. Earlier this year, when Disney celebrated Halfway to Halloween, those offerings came with big announcements about what to expect in the parks this Halloween season. So it stands to reason that Disney will do the same for the holidays!

So what is likely to be announced during Halfway to the Holidays? Well, for starters, we’re hoping to get the news that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is returning for the 2023 season. The Christmas Party is a nighttime event in Magic Kingdom that typically runs select evenings in November and December.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (or MVMCP, as it’s more easily known) usually offers special entertainment like Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, and the Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show in front of Cinderella Castle. Those with tickets also get complimentary cookies and beverages and can meet rare characters stationed around the park.

Along with the announcement that the party is returning, we also expect that Disney would announce the party dates and ticket prices. Last year, there were 24 different dates for the party and the tickets ranged in cost from $149-$199 per adult. Tickets for children are usually a little bit cheaper and there were discounts offered for Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members.
