How You Book Your Disney World Hotel Has CHANGED

If you’ve ever been confused about which room category you booked at your Disney World hotel, things are about to get a lot simpler.

Disney’s Riviera Resort

Dinsey has released lots of news for change as of late with park pass reservations going away, new Disney World hotel discounts, and even changes to the fireworks schedule. Now, Disney’s looking to make a change that seems like it will settle a lot of confusion about exactly where you’ve booked your room at their resorts.

If you’ve ever stayed at a Disney World Deluxe hotel the room category options can be a bit overwhelming. Currently, there’s been options to book like standard view, theme park view, water view, garden view, and more but Disney’s looking to change that.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Disney recently announced that as of May 2023, the names of some room categories at Deluxe hotels will be simplified to three main categories. For these resorts, the main categories are to be narrowed down to resort view, water view,  and theme park view.

Disney is hoping that the adjustment will allow them to deliver a more focused approach to the check-in process for the hotel and make assigning rooms easier while also prioritizing specific requests. This will also apply for hotel bookings through 2024 as we’ll be seeing that availability opening up starting May 31st, 2023.
