Disney Springs to Close Due to Tropical Storm Nicole

This time of the year can bring extreme weather, along with tropical storms and hurricanes, to the state of Florida and Disney World. That means that guests visiting Disney World during such times can expect closures.

We saw it most recently with Hurricane Ian, but now Tropical Storm Nicole is on its way, and ahead of that, we’re seeing closures announced for Orlando International Airport, as well as no availability at Disney World hotels. Now, more cancellations are being announced.

Tropical Storm Nicole is expected to make landfall tonight, and ahead of that, we’ve already seen Fantasmic! canceled at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the evening, as well as Extended Evening Hours.

Disney Springs will be closing early tonight

Now, Disney has announced that Disney Springs will close early tonight and will remain closed through tomorrow.

Disney Springs will close at 7PM tonight, November 9th, with last dining reservations at 6:30PM. Disney Springs will stay closed through tomorrow morning, November 10th. Guests will be able to take Disney bus transportation to and from Disney Springs until 8PM tonight.

Disney World has also changed its cancellation policy ahead of the tropical storm. Guests wishing to cancel their park tickets or hotel stay because of the storm can do so without cancellation fees.

The last dining reservations for tonight are 6:30PM

If you happen to be in Disney World during a tropical storm or hurricane, you will be asked to shelter in place at your Disney World hotel until the storm passes. You will be given various food options during your stay, and the resort will even offer up some magical moments with characters and activities.
