NEWS: Universal Orlando Announces Theme Park Closures Due to Tropical Storm Nicole

Hurricane Ian hit Florida back in September and caused several central Florida theme parks to close.

Universal Orlando, Legoland Florida, and Disney World shut down the theme parks for a few days to let the storm pass. Now, Tropical Storm Nicole is approaching Florida and Disney World has announced park closures. Universal Orlando just released an update on how they are handling the storm.

Universal Orlando previously announced that their water park Volcano Bay would be closed on November 9th, but now the theme parks are impacted.

Both Universal Orlando theme parks and CityWalk will close early on November 9th at 5PM. As of now, the hotels will remain open and Universal says they are focused on taking care of their guests.

Universal does anticipate a delayed reopening on November 10th, but we will be on the lookout for an exact reopening plan.

UPDATE: On November 10th, Universal shared an update that they would be assessing damage and sharing reopening plans from there.
