Disney Springs’ newest food truck, Local Green Orlando, hopes to serve up more than just fresh, healthy foods.

The Atlanta-based eatery is a new addition to the Food Truck Exposition Park area of Disney Springs and offers tacos, burgers, sandwiches, and more — with a healthy twist. But the owners of Local Green Orlando plan on bringing more to the table than just delicious food!
With dishes inspired by hip-hop culture and Florida’s most famous musicians, Local Green Orlando is bringing new flavors and new vibes to Disney Springs.

According to the Orlando Business Journal, Local Green Orlando’s founders, Zachary and Robyn Wallace, noticed a lack of access to foods rich in nutritional value — commonly referred to as a food desert — in their “community whose demographic makeup was mostly Black and Brown.”

From there, Local Green was born! The restaurant was originally a food truck based out of Atlanta and eventually became a brick-and-mortar shop. The founders made a plan to “increase awareness of the benefits of delicious and fulfilling plant-based foods.”

Robyn Wallace noted that some of the eatery’s specialties include the “Monsta” Shrimp Burger, “Badu” Kale Wrap, and “Oh Boy” Beyond Burger. So keep a lookout for those options on the new Food Truck’s menu!

Local Green Orlando plans to expand outside of Disney Springs, and hopes to open a brick-and-mortar location in the Orlando area, too. For more updates on this news and more, be sure to stay tuned to AllEars.
