PHOTOS: We Spotted FILMING For a Holiday Special in Disney World Today!

We may still have another month before Christmas, but the holidays have officially arrived in Disney World!

Now all four parks have been decorated, specialty holiday treats have arrived at several dining spots, and it seems like there’s almost always something new to discover. In fact, yesterday we spotted a giant new Mickey-shaped addition near the entrance to EPCOT, and today we found out why it was there!

As a quick refresher, here’s what we spotted at the front of the park yesterday…

…and here’s that same area today! This morning, there were a lot of crews setting up cameras, instruments, and MORE Christmas trees.

We hung around for a little while to see what could be happening here and they started to let day guests gather in front of the stage in preparation for some filming.

And, then it was time for the big reveal! Country singer and songwriter Brett Eldredge came out on stage to perform a Christmas song for a new Disney holiday special!

And, guests who had collected by the stage got a chance to be in the special too. You can listen to his spin on Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer below!

But, EPCOT isn’t the only park that will be featuring some stars in the coming days — we also spotted a stage set up outside of the Partners Statue in Magic Kingdom. According to a Cast Member, it will be used for filming sometime tonight.

Disney traditionally hosts a holiday special on ABC the night of Thanksgiving and the morning of Christmas Day, but they haven’t shared any details on this year’s special just yet. We’ll continue to keep an eye out though, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
