Disney World typically has a few construction projects going on at any given time!

Here at AllEars, we keep you posted on all those closures! So today, we’re bringing you a refurbishment update on all the attractions that will be unavailable from May 10th through 16th, 2021.
Magic Kingdom Refurbishments
Walt Disney World Railroad
The Walt Disney World Railroad has been closed for over 2 years now, as its path around the park is blocked by construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run.

Disney hasn’t announced a reopening timeline. However, TRON’s construction is reportedly delayed, so it could be awhile before the railroad’s path is cleared. We’ll keep you posted with any updates!

The Hall of Presidents
The Hall of Presidents closed in January for refurbishment. It’s currently installing an audio-animatronic for President Joe Biden — a tradition that takes place every time a new president is elected!

Again, Disney hasn’t announced a reopening date yet. But we’ll let you know when they do!

Main Street Confectionery
Towards the front of the park, Main Street Confectionery is closed for refurbishment! Disney hasn’t stated exactly how long this closure will last, but it will be through July 17th at the earliest. That’s as far out as Disney’s refurbishment calendar currently goes!

In the meantime, you can enjoy all of the Confectionery’s sweet treats at Main Street Cinema.

Disney World Resort Refurbishments
Some Disney resorts are undergoing big changes, too! At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, a massive transformation is taking place. We’re seeing refurbishments to the entryway, lobby, and monorail station! And the guest rooms are getting a Moana-inspired makeover, which will debut this July. You can make reservations for those rooms now!

Another refurb is going on at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, where the Main Tower Guest Rooms are getting some spiffying. The hotel currently has lots of scrim up to cover those construction zones.

And at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Lodge, Meadow Swimmin’ Pool’s waterslide and splash pad are getting some maintenance work done!

They’re expected to remain closed through May. But in the meantime, Meadow Swimmin’ Pool will remain open!
