Ever Dreamed of Trick-or-Treating at Disney’s The Haunted Mansion? There’s an App For That!

With physical distancing and safety mandates, there’s no doubt that trick-or-treating this year is not going to be the same. 

But as with other innovations, there’s an app for that! One candy company is teaming with Disney and fulfilling our dreams by letting us virtually trick-or-treat at one of our all-time favorite rides in Disney World! 

Seeing that live trick-or-treating has been suspended in other areas of Disney World for this year, the next best thing is a virtual alternative. In fact, thanks to the new Treat Town app, this virtual experience might be even better than the real thing! 

The candy-filled app is the handiwork of Mars Wrigley, which dreamed up a way to let families virtually trick-or-treat from the comfort and safety of their own homes, “visiting” other homes and attractions across the country! 

The best part? One of the attractions is none other than The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom! 

So just to recap: we can trick-or-treat from our couch, AND we can trick-or-treat at The Haunted Mansion!

The Treat Town app is entirely customizable, too. Families create profiles and can decorate their virtual doors, choose spooky avatars, and connect with friends and other users across the country.  

Trick-or-treating is done by purchasing digital candy credits, which can be redeemed for legit candy, like Snickers, Twix, and all kinds of other classics. 

You can use the app for trick-or-treating through October 31, so download now to visit The Haunted Mansion and beyond!
