Hurricane Isaias still appears to be on a track that will bring it very close to Florida’s east coast. The models from the 2PM advisory appear to indicate that Hurricane Isaias will remain as a Category One Hurricane as it nears Florida.

Here are some of the latest updates about this storm.
Various areas of Florida are on a Hurricane Warning as of the 2PM advisory.

Other areas, including Orlando, remain on a Tropical Storm Warning.

Hurricane Isaias was still about 140 miles southeast of Fort Lauderdale, Florida as of the 2PM advisory today, and its sustained winds were at about 75 mph.

The Hurricane is expected to move near the east coast of Florida from Saturday afternoon through Sunday.
On Friday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis issued a state of emergency for certain counties in Florida, including Orange County and Osceola County, and sent a letter requesting President Donald Trump issue an Emergency Declaration for various counties in Florida. President Donald Trump has since approved the request, and federal disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency has since been offered to the state of Florida.

UPDATE: Hurricane Isaias has been lessened to a tropical storm again according to FOX 35 Orlando. There’s still a possibility that severe weather could happen as the storm nears Florida.
Although Tropical Storm Isaias could become a hurricane again overnight, the National Hurricane Center stated that the storm was moving at 10 miles per hour northwest with maximum sustained winds of 70 miles per hour at 5 PM EST.

While the storm may only be approaching as a Tropical Storm, all in its path are being advised to take the storm seriously and be prepared. Strong winds and heavy rain may still bring floods to the areas expected to be affected.
