Over at Walt DIsney World’s Magic Kingdom, people are crazy about that Purple Wall in Tomorrowland. It even has merchandise!
Now it seems like the original Tomorrowland at Disneyland is getting in on the fun with the refurbished 3D Mural that’s giving me serious Star Wars vibes. Come take a look.
It’s Geometeriffic!
The new design, located adjacent to Star Tours: The Adventure Continues, has a heavily geometric, stylized look that reminds me some kit bashed Star Wars models, like Star Destroyers and the Death Star. The negative space in the design is the real star here, creating sweeping arcs, like the rays of the sun or the trajectory of a starship. While not explicitly Star Wars, the new design blends in with its adjacent attraction while adding to Tomorrowland’s sci-fi aesthetics.
The new design also appears on a new Tomorrowland Sign, located just beyond the mural.
We hope to see this new design on Tomorrowland merchandise in the coming weeks.
