Today is a big day in Disney World! Not only is it one of the biggest shopping days of the year, but it also marked the beginning of the holidays in Epcot! Epcot’s annual Festival of the Holidays is back with 13 Holiday Kitchens (food booths), as well as other locations around the park joining in the holiday fun.

We were there on opening day to try some of the new items at the booths, as well as enjoy the park at this time of the year.

Le March de Noel Holiday Kitchen
We started our day out in France. Paris at Christmas sounded pretty great to us!

France’s Le March de Noel is offering three new options this year, we tried the Rillette de Saumon. This is salmon spread on house-made bread, we loved the bread and the salmon spread was very generous.

Bavaria Holiday Kitchen
Though not Epcot neighbors, we stopped at France’s real life neighbor next, Bavaria for some Pork Schnitzel with Mushroom Sauce and Spaeztle. We enjoyed this hearty mini-version of a traditional meal, washed down with a beer flight followed by a Linzer Cookie!

Shi Wasu Holiday Kitchen
Japan’s entry into the Festival is something that has intrigued us since the menus were released — a Chirasi Sushi Tree!

We ordered this and loved the presentation! Take a look at this, and yes, it is as good as it is creative. We also tried the New Year Celebration Soba and Matcha Crème Brûlée.

L’Chaim Holiday Kitchen
L’Chaim is back this year between France and Morocco.

This year they are offering Potato Latkes with or without Smoked Salmon. We tried both versions, followed by a beer and donuts!

Yukon Holiday Kitchen
Canada’s booth is serving a new Canadian Wild Rice and Ham Soup with Almonds.

But that isn’t all — this soup comes with Le Cellier‘s fabulous pretzel roll! We loved this creamy soup, and on a cool day in Central Florida it is sure to to warm you up! Try it with a Pinwheel Cookie for a sweet finish!

Los Posadas Holiday Kitchen
In Mexico we treated ourselves to the new Horchata Cheesecake which is a creamy rice cheesecake served with Cajeta sauce. We actually tried almost everything at this booth! We also tried the Giant Tostada de Puerco, Tamal de Pollo, and the drinks on hand at the booth.

Shanghai Holiday Kitchen
We gave China’s Chengdu Street Fries a try since they were new this year. It was a worthy risk! We loved these!

Holiday Sweets and Treats Holiday Kitchen
We closed out our dining around the world with a Chocolate Peppermint Shake with Twinings Peppermint Cheer Tea. You have the option of adding whipped cream vodka to this shake if you would like. Peppermint fans will like this spiked or not, and with the carols in the background you will be ready for the holidays! We couldn’t resist the Santa Mickey Sugar Cookie, which is part of the Cookie Stroll.

Prost! Holiday Kitchen
Expect to find a few new beers on the list and in the beer flights at Prost!

Tuscany Holiday Kitchen
We closed our visit out in Italy with a little bit of everything! We tried the cheese flatbread, Bianca Neve, creamy Collezione Barilla, Crespelle di Mele apple fritters, and Bacio al Cioccolato, warm hazelnut chocolate cake. We enjoyed the pasta the most at this stand.

Other Locations in Epcot with Holiday Offerings
Eating and drinking around the world takes a lot of energy. We enjoyed the Choco-Latte from the Joffreys kiosk in Future World East.

Each Joffrey’s location is serving a holiday themed drink. Other offerings include a Toffee Coffee at the American Adventure kiosk, Coconut Snowstorm at the Showcase Plaza kiosk, Ginger Chai Madness at the kiosk between Canada and UK pavilions.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without Eggnog – you’ll find that spiked with rum or unadulterated at Refreshment Port.

Other locations with seasonal treats include the Boulangerie Patisserie Les Halles in France with a Buche de Noel au Chocolat, France’s L’Artisan des Glaces has gingerbread ice cream in the freezer for the season, and the UK Beer Cart is serving Mulled Cider.
