The LaGuardia Airport has closed down at 3:16 AM on March 23rd, due to a collision, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The airport is expected to reopen at 2 PM on March 23rd. Here’s all the information you need to know in the meantime.
Airlines like Delta have sent messages to customers about their current options due to the extended airport closures. Delta has already made the necessary schedule adjustments and is working with the Airport Authority and Air Canada to support their ongoing response efforts.
Flexible options are available for customers whose travel takes them to or through New York-area airports, including LGA, JFK, EWR, and HPN. Delta will automatically rebook customers to the next best alternative, but customers can make changes in their Delta app.

If you’re flying with other airlines, you can find the most up-to-date information on your airline’s app, where you might be able to reschedule your flight. You can also call the airline’s customer service line for more immediate help.
Since this is happening at LaGuardia Airport, don’t forget that there are other airports in the area you can head to if you need more immediate flights, but keep in mind these airports are likely very busy due to the rescheduling. If you can wait for your flight, it might be best to wait at the airport for your rescheduled flight rather than trying to rebook at other airports, though that option does stand.

If you haven’t made your way to the airport yet, you might want to consider rescheduling your flight for later. Most airports are already very crowded due to TSA delays, and if your travel dates are flexible, you might have a more enjoyable experience by waiting it out rather than heading straight to the airport. If you need to be at the airport later today, please arrive early and expect delays.
Update at 2:30 PM
LaGuardia Airport has reopened at 2 PM. While operations have resumed, travelers should still expect some residual delays and cancellations. There have already been around 600 cancellations, so continue to check with your airline to see how it affects your flight.
