St. Patrick’s Day is coming up soon on March 17th, but one of our favorite spots in Disney Springs, Raglan Road, is beginning its celebration early!

To celebrate this beloved holiday, The Mighty Festival is BACK at this popular dining spot from March 13th-17th! Not only is the restaurant totally decked out in St. Patrick’s Day decor for the weekend, but there are special dining options you can ONLY experience this weekend. While we’re normally a fan of pretty much all the dining options from this spot, we think EVERYONE should experience this limited-time menu!
The moment we walked in, there was green EVERYWHERE, and we loved it! In addition to the special menu and decor, you’ll also get to see award-winning imported Irish bands perform, as well as the Raglan Road Irish Dancers!

The special menu for the holiday, and the month as a whole, is called the March Memories Menu. It includes eight different options — six dining options and two drinks. However, you can, of course, order off the regular menu at the restaurant as well, if you’d like.

We started out with the Ireland in a Spring Roll starter, which is a golden pastry filled with smoked Irish bacon and tender cabbage served with a velvet red cabbage purée and a pickled vegetable salad. This is the PERFECT size for a starter, and the Irish taken on the inside is very flavorful. It’s soft on the inside with that crispy golden outside, and the purée on the bottom is a great addition, making the flavor a tad sweeter. Consider us big fans!

The other starter on the menu is the Lip-Licking Glazed Ribs, which are slow-cooked baby back ribs coated in Raglan Road’s signature Guinness glaze, served with crispy fried onions.

One of the two entrees available is the Chop Chop – It’s Bacon!, which is chargrilled bacon chop served with caramelized half cabbage, honey glazed carrots, and creamy mashed potatoes, then finished with a rich raisin cider and cider jus. A lot is going on here, but it’s all good things! The chargrilled bacon is delicious with that wonderful chargrilled flavor, and the rich raisin cider and cider jus just enhance the flavor isn’t more. The mashed potatoes are very soft and creamy, so much so that they basically melted in our mouths, and have a rich flavor that almost came across as buttery to us. The carrots are pretty soft and easy to bite, and that honey glaze really does make them sweet, which makes them pair well with the cabbage.

The other entree available is the Trí-Pies, which is made up of three different mini pies: Shepherd’s Pie with smoked mashed potatoes, Traditional Lamb Hot Pot with root vegetables and baby potatoes, and a Golden Pastry Pie filled with chicken, leeks, and wild mushrooms. The shepherd’s pie topped with the mashed potatoes was fantastic — the pie interior was soft with beautifully seasoned meat, and the mashed potatoes on top were solid as well. The traditional lamb hot pot was a winner for us as well! The potatoes were cooked crispy, and then the lamb inside was very tender. As for the Golden Pastry Pie, it took a bit of force to break through the outside, but the inside was very worth it. It was unique, flavorful, and another great dish.

Time for dessert! The Brownie Dazed is a decadent warm chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice cream, whiskey caramel sauce, and a shamrock sugar cookie. This is a super SWEET dessert, especially if you add the ice cream and caramel sauce into the mix. It was so soft it was almost mushy, but that didn’t bother us in the slightest — if you love chocolate, this is for you!

The other dessert available is the Crumble at Will, which is a classic baked apple crumble with thick custard, rich caramel sauce, and house-made brown bread ice cream. The crust of this apple pie was VERY hard to break into, so we personally recommend scooping out the apple pie interior and eating that first, then the crust after, because otherwise, it makes a pretty big mess. If you’re a fan of traditional apple desserts, this will likely be the right fit for you.

As for drinks, we got to try the Minty Baileys Shake, which is Baileys Irish Cream liqueur and peppermint schnapps blended with vanilla ice cream, topped with fresh whipped cream and shamrock sprinkles. This is a nice, refreshing dessert drink, as it’s not too sweet, and the mint flavor isn’t too overpowering either. We think the Baileys helped with that, but part of us does wish there were a version without the Baileys available so kids and those who don’t drink can enjoy it as well!

There’s only a limited time to experience this event, and if you know you want to get yourself a chance to try it all, we suggest making a reservation in advance, sooner rather than later, since spots WILL fill up fast!
