We don’t know about you, but we’re really excited about all the good things coming the Muppets’ way in 2026.

Yes, we were very sad when Muppets Courtyard closed in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but we are very excited to see the Muppets taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. However, we’re the most excited about the return of The Muppet Show, which is happening SOON.

That’s right. “It’s time to play the music. It’s time to light the lights.” The Muppet Show is returning to our screens on February 4th. A special episode will be streaming on Disney+ to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Muppets, and it will feature none other than the ICONIC Sabrina Carpenter as a guest.

Disney even recently revealed a first look at the new episode, and we can already tell there are going to be some hilarious hijinks with the special guest and Miss Piggy.

This is the first Muppets content we’ve had since Disney canceled Muppets Mayhem, which followed the adventures of Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem as they navigated the modern world of music recording and performance.

Anyway, here’s a trailer to whet your appetite:

We’re hoping that if this special episode of The Muppet Show pulls in some big numbers, Disney will consider bringing it back. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a new episode of The Muppet Show every week? We can only watch the old series so much (okay, we can watch it all the time, but new episodes would be great).

So be sure to tune into Disney+ on February 4th for The Muppet Show. We’ll keep an eye out for more big Disney announcements, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
