Heads Up! An EPCOT Snack Spot is Closing Tomorrow

A lot is going on in Disney World, including a lot of construction and closures. It seems like Disney is working on just about everything on property. Until recently, it seemed like EPCOT might be the one park that wouldn’t get any closures or upgrades, but we recently learned that a snack spot would soon close.

Traditional Poutine at Refreshment Port

This closure doesn’t just affect the snack spot, though. It also affects several upcoming EPCOT festivals, as it is generally a location for festival-specific snacks. So we wanted to make sure you knew about Refreshment Port’s closure that starts tomorrow.

That’s right. Refreshment Port in World Showcase will close tomorrow, January 12th. It looks like the closure might last a while, too, because the Disney World calendar is not showing hours for the snack spot through March 12th, which is as far out as the dining calendar currently goes.

Refreshment Port

Refreshment Port is mostly known for its poutine, as well as some other small snacks and drinks. During festivals, though, there’s usually a specialty poutine available. However, this closure means that Refreshment Port won’t be open for the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, which starts on January 16th and runs through February 23rd.

The EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival runs from March 4th through June 1st, so it looks like Refreshment Port will likely not be available for that festival, either. So this closure could possibly affect that festival, too.

We’ll keep an eye out for more closures and refurbishments in Disney World, so be sure to check AllEars often for updates.
