CONFIRMED: An EPCOT Snack Spot Will Be Closing Soon

One of our favorite snacks to grab in EPCOT that can double as a small meal is the poutine at Refreshment Port in World Showcase.

However, we’re going to have to say goodbye to that poutine soon, because this spot, which also usually participates in EPCOT festivals, is closing soon and may be closed for a while.

According to the Disney World calendar, Refreshment Port will be closing on January 12th. It looks like it will be closed for a while, too, because the calendar is still not showing any hours through March 5th, which is as far out as the current calendar goes.

Now, Refreshment Port is often part of EPCOT festivals, and you can usually get a special festival-exclusive poutine, as well as festival-exclusive drinks, there. However, the EPCOT Festival of the Arts runs from January 16th through February 23rd, and it looks like Refreshment Port will be closed during that entire time. So it looks like you won’t be able to get a specialty poutine at Refreshment Port during that time.

However, the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival begins on March 4th and runs through June 1st. As Refreshment Port’s closure seems to be ongoing through March 5th, it seems this festival might be lacking a specialty poutine, too.

So that’s two festivals that could be impacted by this spot’s closure. We’re not sure if Disney will just move the festival-exclusive poutine to another location or not, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for the festival food booth menus to see. Be sure to keep checking back with us for more updates.
