These Disney World Snacks are Must-Eats!

As any Disney World guest with a sweet tooth knows, snacks are a major part of the resort experience,  and there are some that guest simply just HAVE to try at least once!

Mickey Pretzels are classic Disney World snack food

We know which foods we would consider must-trys and which ones we would avoid, but everyone has different opinions. So, we asked Disney fans what the must-try snacks are at Disney World for first-time visitors — let’s check out what they said!

The Classics

Let’s start with some of the classics, and then we’ll break things down by park! These items are things that you can find in several different locations around Disney World. They’re staples, they’re iconic, they’re what people think of when they think of Disney snacks.

Dole Whip

A LOT of people said that the number 1 must-try Disney World snack is Dole Whip! We’re not surprised at all because Disney has basically created a cult following of the frozen treat.

Pineapple Swirl

The traditional flavor is pineapple, but you can also find other flavors like coconut, lime, lemon, raspberry, and more around the parks and resorts! We agree that everyone should try it at least once. And many of the flavors are vegan and gluten-free, so they’re very allergy-friendly (but make sure to double check!).

Anything Mickey-Shaped

If you’re at Disney World, you have to eat something Mickey-shaped, right?! Especially if it’s your first time visiting, we can’t think of a better way to really immerse yourself in the Disney magic than to eat foods shaped like the Big Cheese.

A Mickey Pretzel!

There are SO many things you can choose from, but the most iconic are probably things like the Mickey Premium Bar, Mickey Waffles, Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Mickey Pretzels.

Waffle, French Toast stick, and French Toast

But, if you want to try something a little more unique, you can grab treats like the Mickey Beignets or the Mickey Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich!

Popcorn

Popcorn can be found ALL over Disney World, and it’s a great salty snack to eat while you walk around, especially if you have one of those refillable popcorn buckets!

Where the popcorn goes

A lot of Disney fans said that popcorn just tastes better at Disney, so that’s why you have to have it.

Funnel Cake

Listen, we wouldn’t usually think this is a must-try, but one person brought up a good point: if you don’t live in the United States, funnel cakes aren’t as common.

Myranda reviewed this one for us!

It’s true, you can find funnel cakes here at sporting events and carnivals, so if you’re visiting from a different country and you’ve never tried one before, we definitely think you should go for it at Disney World!

Magic Kingdom

Cheeseburger Spring Rolls

Let’s hear it for the Spring Rolls! This is one of our favorite snacks too, so we’re glad to see other Disney fans agree that they are a must-try. If you don’t know what they are, they’re quite literally spring rolls with cheeseburger filling!

Cheeseburger Spring Rolls

You can find them at a cart stationed right outside the entrance to Adventureland, coming from the Hub.

Corn Dog Nuggets

Corn Dog nuggets have also gained a big fan following, and many people think you gotta try ’em if you never have! They’re literally little mini corn dogs (minus the sticks), and you can find them over at Casey’s Corner on Main Street, U.S.A.

Corn Dog nuggets

Bonus points if you get the nuggets with a side of cheese sauce to dip them in! A match made in heaven.

Warm Cinnamon Roll

You’ve probably had a cinnamon roll before, but you might not have had a GIANT one like the roll you can get over at Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland! No one makes cinnamon rolls like Gaston.

Cinnamon Roll from Gaston’s Tavern

These are great for sharing because they’re ginormous, and you can even ask for some extra frosting to take it to another level. Some people said that this is the best cinnamon roll they’ve ever had!

EPCOT

Karamell-Küche

So this is more of a snack spot than a singular snack because so many people mentioned different snacks from here! Located in the Germany pavilion is Karamell-Küche, which is a bakery sponsored by Werther’s, so it’s allll about caramel!

YUM

Some of the most suggested items included the Caramel Butter Bars and the Caramel Popcorn. The popcorn is made fresh right in front of you and is sometimes even served warm! We can confirm, it is amazing. You can’t really go wrong with the sweets here.

Pretzel Bread Pudding

Staying in Germany, we have a snack that’s a bit newer than most on this list — the Pretzel Bread Pudding! This treat seems to be made with pretzels instead of leftover bread, like normal bread puddings are made, and is topped with a caramel butterscotch sauce and some type of white glaze or frosting.

Pretzel Bread Pudding

You can find it at Sommerfest in the back of the pavilion, and we also think it’s a great option for a dessert or a snack because it’s very tasty!

School Bread

School Bread is also a popular treat in EPCOT. A lot of people suggested this, but do know that this treat can be a bit divisive — some people don’t like it! But that’s probably why it was suggested, because it’s very unique and not something you can really find in most places.

School Bread

School bread is a sweet roll filled with custard and dipped in coconut. It has some spices in it and is also usually topped with some sort of design — recently, it’s been a white chocolate Olaf! It’s a great treat to share, and we do think it’s fun to try to see if you’ll like it or not! You can find it at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in Norway.

Ronto Wrap

Over in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you’ll find Ronto Roasters, where they sell one of the best snacks in the park (in our opinion) — Ronto Wraps! Many other people suggested that first-timers should try a Ronto Wrap as well.

Ronto Wrap from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

There are several different options, too! At breakfast, you can get the Ronto Morning Wrap, which has Eggs, Grilled Pork Sausage, Shredded Cheddar, and Peppercorn Sauce in Pita Bread, or you can get the Triple Suns Breakfast Wrap, which has Plant-based Egg, Smoky Chickpea-Onion Slaw, and Roasted Tomato Sauce wrapped in Pita Bread.

Morning Ronto Wrap

Then, after breakfast hours, you can grab the classic Ronto Wrap, which is Roasted Pork, Grilled Pork Sausage, Peppercorn Sauce, and Tangy Slaw wrapped in Pita Bread, or the plant-based Zuchii Wrap, which is Grilled Zucchini, Smoky Chickpea-Onion Slaw, Creamy Garlic-Tahini Sauce, and Fresh Cilantro wrapped in Pita Bread.

Zuchii Wrap

All of these options are super hearty and are a great meal to keep you going during your Disney day. They’re also very delicious, and we wish we could get them at home, too.

Totchos

What’s better than nachos? Tater Tot nachos. This is another snack (or meal) that’s great for sharing and will fuel you up. You can find them over at Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land!

Totchos and Banana Peanut Butter Fudge Lunch Box Tart

Totchos are Potato Barrels (Tater Tots) coated with Beef and Bean Chili, Shredded Cheese, and signature Queso with Tomatoes and Corn Chips finished with Sour Cream and a sprinkle of Green Onions. YUM!

Wookiee Cookie

A lot of people also think a Wookiee Cookie is a must-try in Disney World! Made to resemble Chewbacca, this is Two Oatmeal Cookies with Vanilla Cream Filling garnished with a Milk Chocolate Sash on top.

Wookiee Cookie!

Think of it as an oatmeal cream pie, but with a Star Wars twist! It’s cute and tasty. You can grab it over at Backlot Express.

Animal Kingdom

Mr. Kamal’s

This is a snack stand in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Asia. It’s not always open, but when it is, they have some delicious snacks!

Amazing

Grab the seasoned fries, which have a ton of flavor on their own, but then you can dip them in saffron aioli, honey kimchi ketchup, or Tandoori honey mustard! There are also some chicken dumplings available here, served with ponzu sauce, which are a great midday snack.

Corn

We know what you’re thinking, corn?! Yes, corn. Trust us. This is over at Harambe Fruit Market and is grilled right there, and then you can choose to get it with or without African spices.

CORN

This is not your average corn on the cob you eat at home, folks (well, unless you make it the exact same way). It’s special here, and it’s a great snack to walk around with!

Churros

Many people mentioned Disney World churros, so we are telling you where our favorite ones are — at Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom. These are by far the best churros in Disney World, and they’re mini!

Nomad Lounge churros are the best

They come with vanilla cream sauce and chili-strawberry sauce to dip them in, AND they’re gluten-free! They’re great to enjoy while sitting on the porch, relaxing with a cold drink.

SO good!

So, those are all of the snacks Disney fans think first-timers should try while they’re at Disney World! These are some great options, but don’t be afraid to branch out and try other things as well. There are snacks to make almost every kind of person happy in Disney World.
