Disney World Made a BIG Mobile Ordering Update And We Couldn't Be Happier

You may not have noticed this Disney World update, but it’s a big one!

Recently, Disney updated their mobile ordering system, locking us out of ordering from a different location around the property. However, that no longer seems to be an issue, which is a huge deal! We’re breaking down what we know.

Disney World just made a big change with mobile ordering at quick service spots at the Monorail resorts. We are no longer locked out of Monorail resort mobile ordering based on our location.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

For a time, we weren’t able to mobile order from Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort unless you were guests staying there. This is a change we typically see during super busy time periods around the resort, but it can prevent us from getting our favorite snacks and entrees!

Now, if you open up the My Disney Experience app and go to mobile order from one of the three Monorail resorts, the message still pops up letting you know that mobile ordering is only available for guests staying at whichever resort you’re looking into.

However, you can just click “ok” and it lets you select a time and add items to your cart. Gasparilla mac and cheese, here we come!

This is a great update because who doesn’t love resort hopping?! Whether you’re heading back from Magic Kingdom and want to check out the resorts on the Monorail line, or you’re just choosing to spend the day checking out what Disney World has outside of the parks.

With the update, you can get yourself some food from one of the resorts without needing to stay there or physically walk in, line up, and wait for your food that way.
