CONFIRMED: A Major Ride Change Is Coming to Magic Kingdom Next Week

A jolly reminder to those heading to Walt Disney World after New Year’s: The Jingle Cruise is ending its seasonal run, but the popular overlay is going to be available for one day LONGER than initially expected.

We love all the decorations in the queue!

When the schedule for the Magic Kingdom’s holiday events was first announced earlier this year, the overlay was scheduled to run through January 1st. However, Disney quietly updated their operational calendar in December, and the festive Jungle Cruise variant is now running through January 2nd!

The seasonal Jingle Cruise overlay was first introduced in 2013, and initially featured decorations on the boats and boathouse and a Holiday-themed script. In the years since, the experience has become grander in scope, with many of the ride’s show scenes and animatronics now featuring Christmas-inspired props, placemaking, and sight-gags, as well as a storyline tied to the ride’s skippers.

Don’t miss out on all the fun!

The current incarnation of the Jingle Cruise — a “jolly journey packed with silly shenanigans” — is often one of the park’s busiest, with wait times normally hovering around 35-40 minutes during the holiday season.

The Magic Kingdom’s Jingle Cruise is currently scheduled to run through January 2nd, before returning to its iconic original state beginning on the 3rd. Stay tuned to AllEars for more updates on Disney’s operational calendar.
