Can you believe it’s almost time for the holidays? The year is flying by, and we’re already looking forward to a big Disney World Christmas party!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is coming BACK to Magic Kingdom, and we can hardly contain our excitement! This after-hours event is held at Magic Kingdom on select nights from November 7th through December 21st, 2025, and will feature festive theming, exclusive treats, fun entertainment like a party parade and fireworks show, special character meet-and-greets (INCLUDING SANTA!), low ride wait times, and so much more. In fact, a fairly new Magic Kingdom offering is CONFIRMED to be available during the party!

The Beak and Barrel, Magic Kingdom’s new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge, is OFFICIALLY open and will continue to be open during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

Reservations are tough to come by, but it’s better to face competition from a limited number of party guests versus general Magic Kingdom parkgoers. As a reminder,  you’ll need to have a ticket to the event on the same night you are booking.

Bookings opened up in early September, and guests can book their reservation 60 days in advance of their visit. If you were unlucky and your day is full, there’s no harm in periodically checking — hoping someone might cancel. Hey, it happens.

If you miss out on The Beak and Barrel, don’t fret! During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you can also book reservations for Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and The Plaza Restaurant!

While having a dining reservation during the party can eat into precious limited time, it is a great way to experience restaurants you otherwise might not have gotten to experience due to increased demand during regular park operations.

  1. I honestly wouldn’t call a bar being open during VMCP a perk. Free popcorn / other treats, more character greetings would be a perk!!!!

    1. actually that is a perk. it’s a hard to get reservation experience and this means we’ve got a better shot at it
