A RARE Disney World Job Is Finally Open in Magic Kingdom

When you’re walking down Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom, it’s a truly magical moment, but combine that with the jolly music of the Dapper Dans, and it enhances that magic tenfold! We love ya, fellas!

The Dapper Dans are a four-person a cappella vocal group that pops up on Main Street, U.S.A. throughout the day to entertain visitors with classic tunes. For many people, it’s one of their favorite parts of a Disney day, and if you feel that same way, auditions are now OPEN for this iconic group!

The official Disney Auditions website shared that auditions are now open for male-presenting performers for potential full-time contracts with the Dapper Dans. Exceptional vocal ability with great vocal stamina is required (duh), and tap experience is a plus!

All four roles are available for this quartet:

TENOR: Must sing up to high Bb4 in full voice, mix, or falsetto with access to E5
LEAD: Great ‘Lead Vocalist’ / lead persona with range from Bb2 up to C5
BARITONE: Versatile part singer with wide vocal range from F2 up to A4 in full voice, mix, or falsetto
BASS: True Bass with Eb2 or lower and up to Eb4.

The vocal piece each auditioner must prepare is also different depending on what role(s) in the quartet they’re auditioning for. The Lead must prepare a section from “Muskrat Ramble,” the Tenor must prepare a section from “Mickey Mouse March,” the Baritone must prepare a section from “Cruella DeVil,” and the Bass must prepare a section from “Dear Hearts & Gentle People.” Start practicing, people — this is a DREAM JOB. Get those “Mi-mi-mi-mi-mi-mi”s in order and submit your audition ASAP!

Virtual submissions for these roles will be accepted through September 29th at 11:30 PM ET. Potential in-person callbacks will be held on November 17th in Orlando, and candidates must be available for the in-person callback to be considered. Individuals called back will be notified by October 14th, and rehearsals will potentially begin in January 2026.

And, if you’re more of a listener than a singer, that means we could see some fresh new faces singing in Magic Kingdom by 2026! Look out for the Dapper Dans — they are SO fun (though, ALL Disney entertainment is fun…that’s kind of the point).
