REVIEW: This NEW Disney Treat Arrived Just in Time for Summer

It’s hard not to love a good frozen treat during the hot summer months at Disney World!

Animal Kingdom

Everyone’s been diving into ice cream and popsicles in this Disney heat, but there’s one thing that has been extremely popular amongst them all. If you’ve been to Animal Kingdom recently, you may have noticed a lot of Disney goers snacking on this new frozen treat!

We recently stopped by Animal Kingdom to try the new Frollies Watermelon Fruity Ice Pop for $6! We got them at a snack cart located in Discovery Island. You won’t have any issue finding these, though, because there are snack carts all over the park.

Its $6 price puts it near the same price range as the other frozen treats you can get at snack carts throughout the parks. We were surprised to see that the popsicle comes with chocolate pieces on it — they resembled watermelon seeds.

$6 Watermelon Fruity Ice Pop

For $6, the Frollies Watermelon Fruity Ice Pop looked a little on the smaller side, to be honest. It wasn’t terrible, but smaller than expected. Biting into the treat, we wished it were a little bit more substantial. The watermelon pop just tasted like watermelon on the inside, which we appreciated since it was so refreshing.

The chocolate seeds were a fun touch, though they weren’t anything too remarkable.

It looks like a watermelon piece

The green part of the watermelon pop was a sour green apple flavor. We loved that part because it was a great change in taste with the popsicle. You have all that watermelon with about the first 80% of the treat, and then all of a sudden, you get this sour green apple taste.

These have been popular!

Overall, we like it — so we understand why we’ve been seeing lots of people get it. Surprisingly, the treat did really well in the heat and didn’t melt too quickly.

Do you think you’ll give it a try?

It’s a nice treat to have on a hot day at Disney, so you should give it a try when you have the chance. We love to try all different types of eats and treats, so make sure to follow us at AllEars for more!
