One of the best things about visiting Disney World is just how easy it is to get around using the resort’s massive transportation system.

This transportation system includes buses, boats, and the Skyliner. However, it also includes the Monorail, which can get you around several resorts and to and from Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. Well, if you ride the Monorail in the next week or so, you might notice something different about it.
The Monorail opened with Disney World in 1971, and since then, it has transported millions of people. Monorail ridership is estimated to be around 22 million people per year. In 2021, the Monorail got a new feature that illuminates the beam underneath each train at night to celebrate Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.

Well, now, the Monorail is getting another update. Disney engineers have added a logo on each train that glows in the dark. So the Monorail is going to shine even more at night.

You’ll start noticing this change soon, too — as in this week. So you’ll want to be sure to keep an eye out for that. We’ll be keeping an eye out, too, and let you know when we spot this update.
In the meantime, check back with AllEars again soon for more.

I love the light up words
Came here to win the Superbowl (new monorail fleet) and drove off in a Hyundai (glow in the dark decals).
Thats the most stupid news disney can say, i worked for the monorail shop for 12 yrs and wouldnt surprised me on how to diviate from the real issue. THE MONORAILS ARE OLD and falling apart. From cracks in the frame to not getting parts because its so outdated.
