We’re still waiting for the best Disney World hotel to reopen — but we may have spotted a sign that our wait may soon come to an end.

There’s a major refurb happening at Stormalong Bay — easily one of the most iconic pools on Disney property. The shared pool between Yacht and Beach Club Resorts closed in January 2025 for a major refresh. Disney confirmed it would reopen sometime in June, and we think that day is imminent.
Disney’s Stormalong Bay pool has been closed for refurbishment since January 2025, with an expected reopening sometime in June. Now that June has rolled around, we still haven’t seen an official reopening date from Disney — but we think that may be changing soon.

We spotted an exciting update on the Disney World website! Hurricane Hanna’s, a pool bar and restaurant at the Beach Club, has also been closed as part of Stormalong Bay’s refurbishment — but the menu for Hurricane Hanna’s was recently updated! Could this be a sign that the refurbishment is almost complete?

When we stopped by recently, we noticed that they had refilled the pools with water again, which makes us think we are getting closer to the reopening of this pool.

So, what’s NEW on the menu at Hurricane Hanna’s? Check the new items out below!
- Shrimp Cocktail
- Grilled Chicken Sandwich — Provolone and Chunky Avocado Spread on a Pretzel Bun served with French Fries
- Loaded Crab Fries — with Crab Meat, Cheese Curds, Bacon Pieces, and Bisque
- Chicken Strips
- Impossibleâ„¢ Burger
- Cold Fashioned — Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Citrus and Tea Slushy, and Angostura Bitters
- Captain’s Mai Tai — Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, Bols Amaretto Liqueur, and Tropical Juices topped with a float of Myers’s Original Dark Rum
- Cape Codder — Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Cranberry and Pomegranate Juices, and Hella Cocktail Co. Orange Bitters

Hurricane Hanna’s is not currently showing hours on the Disney World website, but we expect it’s only a matter of time with these recent menu updates. Just one more reason you might want to book a last-minute summer trip to Disney World!

EVERY Disney World Pool, Ranked From Worst To Best
Have you stayed at Disney’s Yacht or Beach Club hotels before? Let us know in the comments.
Our family has stayed at the Beach Club before, and we’re returning this fall.
While the pool is great, rooms are comfy, service is friendly, the #1 reason we stay here is basically the resort’s back yard is Epcot. Want a snack? Walk 10 minutes and you’re at the Food & Wine festival. It’s just so convenient. Hollywood Studios is so close as well. The boat ride is fun, but if you’re a walker, it’s a 20-30 minute walk to the Studios. I’ve walked there quicker than waiting for the boat/buses.
We feel the convenience is worth the extra cost.
