3 Things We’re Literally Begging Disney Adults To Do in Animal Kingdom

Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all those who celebrate!

Animal Kingdom

We’re not the only ones celebrating with our families this weekend — Animal Kingdom Cast Members just shared some photos of their adorable celebrations with mama animals all over the park. What better time to highlight some of the park’s beautiful mothers and their babies?

To celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend, Animal Kingdom has gone all out with some of the celebrations for the new parents in the park. Sohni’s caretakers put together a special surprise for the beloved tiger, thanking her for all she does to keep her baby, the playful and adored Bakso, feeling loved and safe. If you’ve never stopped by the Maharajah Jungle Trek in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, this is our plea to you: DO IT! You just might spot baby Bakso.

If you’re visiting the park this weekend, don’t forget to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to Mara, the proud mother Masai Giraffe, who continues to care for her baby, Tucker. You might spot these cuties on your ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris! This is another must-do activity in Animal Kingdom; trust us.

But that’s not all! A NEW baby was recently born on Animal Kingdom property — critically endangered addax Juniper just welcomed a new baby girl, Ginny, last month! Currently, the two are still bonding in their habitat backstage, but will soon make their way back out to the savanna.

However, you can see another proud addax mother, Violet, with her baby boy Henry out on the savanna right now as you ride Kilimanjaro Safaris!

While we’re on the subject, there’s one place you MUST visit in Animal Kingdom. Do yourself a favor and stop by the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. The gorillas are SO much fun to watch! Seriously — you never know what they might do, and we’ve had some truly unforgettable experiences here.

This weekend, we say thank you to all these beautiful Animal Kingdom mothers, as well as mothers all over the world, for what they do for their kids. Moms, we appreciate and love you!
