There’s A New Baby Giraffe in Disney World — And We Finally Met Him!

It’s always a cause for celebration with animals are born in Disney World.

Animal Kingdom

Recently, we got to learn about some baby otters that now call Disney’s Animal Kingdom home, and we have spent hours following the growth of Bakso, Animal Kingdom’s newest baby tiger. We recently told you about a baby giraffe in Animal Kingdom, too, Tucker. Well, we finally got to see Tucker for ourselves in real life.

Tucker is a Masai giraffe and the first giraffe born in Animal Kingdom since 2021, so he’s pretty special. Now, Tucker has made his way to the savanna of Animal Kingdom, meaning you can get a good look at him by riding Kilimanjaro Safaris.

Kilimanjaro Safaris

We recently went on a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris to see Tucker, and we were not disappointed. Now we tried to take a photo, and he’s doing a really god job of camouflaging in with his environment, but he’s there!

According to People, Jenn Hernandez, a savanna manager for the west savanna team at Disney’s Animal Kingdom said, “He is brave; he does want to investigate new things, but he’s also very calm like his dad Twiga. He has this nice calm energy, even though he’s experiencing new things – like today, he’s being so brave out on the savanna.”

Here’s a photo Disney provided of him recently.
