One of our favorite quick-service spots in Magic Kingdom underwent some serious menu changes a few months ago, and we’re still getting used to some of the new options.

However, we stopped by Pecos Bill’s recently for a bite to eat, and we have to admit, we were really impressed by these offerings! Here’s why we don’t think you should skip this spot the next time you need a filling meal in the park.
If you’re looking for a healthier option, you can get the Southwest Caesar Salad with Chicken for $12.99. We were really impressed by this salad! The dressing is salsa verde, which we thought was pretty special for a fast-food spot, and you get a generous portion, too.

While the dressing did have a tangy flavor to it, it was still creamy with more of a ranch base, which we appreciated. We also loved all the textural elements, especially those pepitas! The chicken is a mix of white meat and dark meat, so keep that in mind when ordering, but we enjoyed it a lot. You can also get the meal with pork if you’re looking for something with a little more consistent texture. We think this is a really elevated salad, and we would totally get it again!

We also grabbed the Double Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger for $16.19 and we were impressed by how tender and juicy this was! It always fell apart in our mouths, which was a pro for us. However, we don’t feel it matched the description well because we didn’t get much of the barbecue flavor at all.

There was a hint of sweetness, but that was about it, and we really wanted more of it! The cheddar barbecue fries it came with were incredible, though! They were seasoned so well; it was the perfect mix of sweet and savory. Overall, the burger wasn’t bad by any means, but the fries were the real standout, so we wouldn’t necessarily go out of our way to order this in the future.
