AHH! Is this real life? We’re just a few months away from the grand opening of Epic Universe!

As opening day grows closer and closer, we’re learning new and exciting things about this new park and all its attractions, and each new detail makes us even more excited to visit the park. In fact, Universal just released TONS of new details about the park that are certain to blow your mind!
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, creatives behind the park released tons of intriguing tidbits. For example, Katy Pacitti, executive producer of Isle of Berk (the How to Train Your Dragon land), said that if you took away the big rides, you could fit TWO of the other worlds inside Isle of Berk. This land has TWO bodies of water!

We also learned that those flying dragons we’ve been so excited about? Well, they won’t be part of any specific show, but you’ll see them flying overhead throughout your day! That’s because, in Berk, dragons just exist, so seeing them fly overhead would be an everyday thing. But wait! We also learned there will be a “full-scale Grump in the Forge who breathes fire,” per The Hollywood Reporter. Between flying dragons, fire-breathing dragons, a “breathing Snow Wraith,” and Toothless and his BABIES, we are SO READY for ALL THE DRAGONS!

Over in Dark Universe, when you ride Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, your experience will heavily depend on what special effects hit you hardest, depending on where you’re sitting in the ride vehicle! You’re also always at a constant speed, though you may not realize it with the way the ride rotates.

In Celestial Park, the main entrance area of the park, you’ll notice that the world “balances nostalgia and modernity through World’s Fair designs and a larger 1850s to 1930s aesthetic.” This area is also focused on feeling very timeless without necessarily feeling futuristic.

For those who love how music immerses you in the world, you’ll LOVE to know that Celestial Park features 40 hours of musical content (14 of which are original pieces!) and 16 background music zones. BRB, planning the ultimate work-from-home playlist! Thanks, Universal!

Stardust Racers, the main coaster attraction in this section of the park, will also feature different soundtracks for daytime and nighttime rides! So yes, you’ll have to ride this attraction AT LEAST twice to get both experiences.
