Things are about to get a lot more epic at Universal Orlando!

The newest park to the Universal Orlando lineup is Epic Universe, and it is set to open on May 22nd of this year. The park will be home to five different worlds: Celestial Park, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and Dark Universe. While the park is not officially open to the public yet, Universal has officially started its first round of previews for Team Members as the park is close to being complete, and there is one portal that people are super impressed by.
While all of Epic Universe is getting good reviews and praise by those lucky enough to snag a preview, Dark Universe, by far, is getting the most hype. Last year, Universal shared a teaser of some of the animatronics that would be part of Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, and they were so impressive and lifelike!

This thrill and motion simulator ride takes place in Dr. Victoria Frankenstein’s family estate. She continues the work of her ancestors deep below the family castle. According to Universal’s description of the ride, “A demonstration of her experiments to control monsters goes awry when Dracula leads a revolt of enraged monsters including The Wolf Man, The Mummy, the Creature from the Black Lagoon and more.” In order to ride this new attraction, riders must be at least 48 inches tall.

While we have not experienced the attraction for ourselves, Team Members have been blown away by the ride. Since the park is in its preview phase, Team Members who were lucky enough to go to a preview were told that they could not take any photos or videos of the park. The good news is that the X user @bireconstruct has been sharing the progress of the park throughout the construction process, and they just shared some aerial views of Dark Universe!

To enter Dark Universe (and all the worlds at Epic Universe), visitors will step through a portal to enter the world (like a land).
