SNEAK PEEK: Food Revealed for 12 New Restaurants Coming to Epic Universe

Epic Universe opens on May 22nd, 2025 with new lands like Dark Universe, Super Nintendo World, an expansion of the Harry Potter universe, and more! We have been waiting on the edge of our seats for more information about the new park and we finally have a sneak peek at the food coming to Epic Universe. 

Epic Universe opens in just a few months and we are filled to the brim with excitement! We’re dreaming about the new rides, entertainment, and characters we’ll be saying hi to pretty much every waking second. We’ve also been daydreaming about what we’ll be snacking on but we no longer have to imagine because we just got a sneak preview of the food coming to the park.

Starting in Celestial Park, USA Today and Universal shared images of the foods coming to the entrance land of the park. First is the Smashed Cucumbers with cilantro, peanuts, and Sichuan spice sauce from The Blue Dragon. The Blue Dragon will allow guests to “enjoy authentic Chinese, Japanese, and Thai fare” in a “full-service restaurant accented with neon dragons and ethereal lanterns.”

Also from the Blue Dragon were the Snowflake Potstickers filled with pork and a side of dragon sauce.

Another dish to grab from this table service restaurant is the Tonkotsu Ramen with ramen noodles in a rich pork broth, topped with chashu pork, tare egg, shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant togarashi oil.

To wash it all down, there is the Khaosan Boba. It’s Thai-inspired milk tea paired with coffee boba and frothy coffee foam.

The next items were from Atlantic which is “a full-service restaurant set inside a Victorian aquarium with captivating views of Celestial Park.” First was the Chengdu Dream which was a tiki-inspired cocktail featuring Ming River Sichuan Baijiu, DeKuyper blue Curaçao, BG Reynolds falernum syrup, pineapple juice, and white grapefruit juice topped with a sugar rim and an edible orchid. The second was the Northern Lights cocktail.

You can also test out the Grand Atlantic Martini with dry gin, aperitif wine, and a gilded lemon twist for garnish.

To start the meal, you can try the Oyster Mushroom Ceviche.

They also have the Sea Bass with carrot mochi and sugar snap peas in a lemongrass broth with starfruit slices on the side.

Landlubber’s Snickerdoodle Loot is a snickerdoodle cake served in a beach pail with cookie butter ganache, surrounded by Biscoff sand and gummy sharks.

At the Oak and Tavern, you can try the Platter with Mango Bread and Pickles that comes with smoked brisket, smoked ribs, pulled pork, cheddar jalapeno sausage or spit-roasted herbed-infused chicken and pair with sides like braised greens, mac and cheese, and more.

There’s also the Two Meats Platter with Spit Roasted Citrus Herb Chicken and Smoked St. Louis Ribs. Choose from smoked brisket, smoked ribs, pulled pork, cheddar jalapeno sausage or spit-roasted herbed infused chicken. Pair with sides like braised greens, mac and cheese and more.

If grilled peaches, arugula, soft creamy cheese, and candied pecans, drizzled with white balsamic sounds good to you, check out the Grilled Peach Arugula!

Slow Smoked Brisket can also be found here. The brisket is smoked for 14 hours and then paired with sweet BBQ, and sweet and tangy homemade pickles on a pan sobao bun.

It’s not a full meal without dessert and you won’t want to miss this Banana Pudding. It’s made with creamy vanilla pudding layered with fresh bananas and topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream and wafer cookie crumbles.

To drink, you can grab The Plastered Owl cocktail with dark rye whiskey, simple syrup, cherry syrup, lemon juice, lemon wedges, and muddled cherries.

A Trip to Vesuvio will be at Pizza Moon! It’s made with a blend of fromage de lune, pepperoni, fennel sausage, roasted peppers and caramelized onions. Topped with cherry peppers, Calabrian chili, fresh arugula, and a drizzle of hot honey.

Universal released a ton of other photos including:

  • Space Cowboy — Pizza topped with tangy BBQ sauce tender rotisserie chicken, pickled red onions, Castelvetrano olives, and BBQ potato chips.

  • The Giant Mushroom — This one is topped with creamy roasted garlic bechamel, fromage de lune, savory wild mushrooms and drizzled with truffle aioli.

  • Pizza Lunare — Made with creamy roasted garlic béchamel, rich ricotta, savory pancetta, fromage de lune and a garlic confit, on ube pizza crust.

  • Rigatoni Meteor Melt — A dish made of hearty rigatoni, handmade meatballs, rich marinara sauce, fresh basil and gooey provolone cheese.

  • Rocket Fuel — This includes chopped romaine drizzled with creamy Caesar dressing and topped with generous shavings of grated parmesan and moon cheese.

  • Brownie Eclipse — For dessert grab the warm gooey brownie with a chocolate hazelnut spread, and crushed chocolate and creme sandwich cookies.

Celestiki is bringing us a Waturi Punch with a blend of rum, bitters, and fruit juices.

There are also some frozen drinks including the Frozen Pina Colada

…or the Frozen Mudslide with dark rum, espresso liqueur, crème de cacao and heavy cream.

And we can’t forget the Branca Colada with rum, lime juice, pineapple juice, passion fruit puree and cream of coconut!

There’s also a mocktail option with the Kunuku Daiquiri. It includes strawberry puree, lime juice, simple syrup, and strawberry essence with a hint of smoked sea salt.

Finally, you can grab the Meteor Strike from Bar Zenith with light rum, triple sec, zesty lime, and pineapple juices, topped with lemon-lime soda.

The Meridian Bramble is made with a blend of dry gin, raspberry liqueur, zesty lemon juice and simple syrup.

The vibrant blue Star-garita includes tequila, blue curaçao, fresh lime juice and agave syrup is enhanced with a sprinkle of smoked sea salt.

Right on brand, the Cosmos-Politan is also on the menu and is made with vodka, limoncello, lime juice, cranberry juice, simple syrup and blood orange syrup, finished with a hint of smoked sea salt.

You’ll also find the Mojit-eor with light rum, fresh lime juice simple syrup and a splash of mint essence.

In Super Nintendo World, we can expect a few familiar dishes! The Piranha Planta Caprese is coming to the park which we have previously tried at Universal Studios Hollywood at Toad Stool Cafe.

The Mario Burger (Bacon, Mushroom & Cheese) is an all-beef patty, topped with savory mushrooms, fresh lettuce, tomato, and melted American cheese, served on a brioche bun with a side of truffle French fries.

The Luigi Burger (Pesto Grilled Chicken) is grilled chicken topped with basil pesto, melted Swiss cheese, green peppers, and fresh spinach, all served on a soft brioche bun with a side of Truffle French fries.

Also at Toad Stool Cafe, Bowser’s Fireball Challenge is a one-pound meatball topped with gooey mozzarella cheese in mushroom marinara sauce and parsley served with a Bowser-inspired puff pastry and a side of hot sauce.

There will also be Yoshi’s Smoothie (Apple Melon) at Yoshi’s Snack IslandNext up is How To Train Your Dragon – The Isle of Berk! First is the Yaknog at Mead Hall which is a drink with malted chocolate, cinnamon, and a generous swirl of whipped cream.

Thawfest Platter, also at Mead Hall, is a spread of tender chicken drumsticks glazed in a wild berry BBQ glaze, grilled salmon, and sausage served with a medley of roasted carrots, cipollini onions, Nordic fries, and side sauces.

Nordic Harvest Salad is a salad with kale and arugula greens, crisp red cabbage, radishes, and ancient grains, with blueberries and crisp apples, trail mix, and raspberry vinaigrette.

Stormfly’s Catch of the Day is a chocolate mousse fish on top of colorful crispy rice cereal.

We also got a glimpse of the Sullen Sea Sandwich!

In Dark Universe, you can find Stakes at Das Stakehaus!– It comes with a choice of three protein options – Fish on a Stake (blackened salmon steak), Bird on a Stake (grilled dry rubbed chicken tenderloin), or Bits and Pieces (seared and glazed wild mushroom brisket meatloaf). All served with roasted veggies and charred green onion mashed potatoes

The “Blood” Orange Chicken Sandwich is a flash-fried marinated chicken breast tossed in a blood orange sauce served with a black bun with pickles, a slaw, and fries.

Our Favorite Vegan Familiar’s Stuffed Cabbage is impossible meat wrapped in cabbage leaves in a bell pepper tomato sauce and served with a beet bucatini.

The Carved Staked Steak will feature a jus to pour on top!

You can also find Darkmoor-Black-Wings at Das Stakehaus. Finally, we can try Hunter’s Garlic Stake at The Burning Blade Tavern. It’s a crispy cheesy garlic pretzel served with a rich garlic dipping sauce.

In the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, we got the most excited for the Butterbeer Crêpe at Café L’air De La Sirène with shortbread cookie butter, Bavarian cream, Butterbeer cream, strawberries, Butterbeer drizzle, and a Butterbeer shortbread cookie.

At the same spot, you can try the Baguette de Dinde. A dish with sliced cracked black pepper turkey piled high with arugula, crisp apples, and creamy Brie served with a baguette with zesty mustard butter and apple butter.

Quiche Lorraine will be a savory dish featuring egg custard baked in a flaky pie crust filled with crispy bacon, gruyère cheese, caramelized onions, a mornay sauce, and a side of fresh berries topped with a lavender honey drizzle.

For something lighter, there will also be a Salad Niçoise.

Bar Moonshine released a first look at the Fleur 75 drink, which is made with gin, elderflower liqueur, zesty lemon juice, and simple syrup added to a flute of sparkling wine.

At Le Gobelet Noir, there will be the Alchemist’s Platter. A spread featuring smoked sausage, potato, and cheese pierogies, pickled eggs, marinated beets, caramelized onions, and a pretzel served with German mustard and cheese fondue.

You can also find the Lentil Stew with lentils, vegan bacon, and root vegetables served with artisan bread.
