It’s going to be a HUGE year for Universal Orlando.

Of course, the biggest thing happening at the resort is the grand opening of Epic Universe, Universal’s third theme park. But there’s plenty to look forward to throughout the year at Universal, so we’re going to make sure you know all the important dates for everything. So grab those calendars and start making notes.
Here are the important dates you need to know for Universal Orlando in 2025:
February 3rd-March 30th
Mardi Gras is a BIG deal at Universal Orlando, and this year celebrates the 30th Anniversary of Mardi Gras celebrations at the park. You’ll want to grab some beads, eat some fun snacks, and watch the fun parade during this time.

It’s all about letting the good times roll, and Universal certainly does just that.
April 22nd-May 17th
An all-new event is happening in 2025 at Universal Orlando: Volcano Bay Nights. This special event at Universal’s water park, Volcano Bay, will happen on April 12th and 26th and May 3rd, 10th, and 17th, 2025. Universal hasn’t yet released a lot of details about what this event will include, but we’re sure to hear something about it soon.

All we know is that Universal has promised the event will allow guests to “immerse themselves into the Waturi culture.”
March 1st-May 31st
Butterbeer Season is a real thing in Universal Orlando (and at other Harry Potter-themed destinations around the world), so if you love that sweet beverage, head to Universal to grab some special butterbeer-themed treats and merchandise.

Even better? You can celebrate from home with some Butterbeer-inspired snacks from your grocery store.
March 17th
May the luck of the Irish be with you on St. Patrick’s Day. If you want to celebrate at Universal Orlando, head to Pat O’Brien’s on CityWalk for some green beer and other Irish-inspired cocktails.

You’re sure to find some Irish entertainment happening there, too. Even better, the event doesn’t require a ticket to attend since it’s at CityWalk.
May 22nd
May 22nd is probably the BIGGEST day for Universal Orlando in 2025. That’s because it’s the date that both Epic Universe, and the in-park hotel, Universal Grand Helios Hotel will be opening. We can imagine that this day is going to bring a LOT of folks to Universal.

We’ll be checking out everything for ourselves, so if you can’t be there in person, be sure to come to AllEars for ALL the details.
August 29th-November 2nd
Spooky season is SERIOUS at Universal Orlando. If you want to get in on some scary good fun, Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights at Universal. You’ll be able to enjoy themed Haunted Houses, food, entertainment, and more.

We’ll warn you, though: this is NOTHING like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World. Halloween Horror Nights is actually pretty scary, so you’ve been warned!
November 21st-December 21st
Universal’s holiday season is a big hit with just about everyone. The parks get a jolly makeover, you can meet Earl the Squirrel, there’s special holiday merchandise, PLUS the Grinch comes out to say hello and meet with guests.

There’s even a Macy’s balloon parade! This is one of our favorite times in Universal Orlando, so if you can make it out for a holiday trip, go for it.
So mark these dates down in your calendars and start making plans. We’ll keep you updated on all things Universal, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
