If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel this year, you’ll be in for some pretty great perks!

When it comes to staying at Disney World hotels, there’s plenty to consider. From learning about closures to general hotel tips, doing your homework before staying at a Disney World hotel is always crucial. However, if you’ve already decided to stay at one of Disney World’s resort hotels, you’ll be happy to know your visit will come with quite a few perks!
There are several great reasons to be a Disney World hotel guest in 2025, but five reasons really stand out. The first benefit we have to bring up is really quite obvious: proximity to the parks.

If you’re visiting Disney World, it’s safe to assume your main goal is to visit the Disney World theme parks. If that’s the case, the resort’s hotels are the quickest way to get from your lodging to a roller coaster or dark ride and vice versa.

While some hotels are within walking distance of the parks, each hotel offers free transportation to and from the Disney World parks, Disney Springs, and other hotels.

Disney World offers complimentary bus, boat, and monorail services, with some hotels being situated along the monorail route for extra convenience.

Disney World also offers the Disney Skyliner, which takes passengers between Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT (International Gateway), Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort.

Guests staying at Disney World hotels also enjoy complimentary standard parking at the theme parks, water parks, and the Disney Springs area.

Another perk of staying at a Disney World hotel is more time in the parks!

Disney World hotel guests can get entrance to the theme parks with a 30-minute early entry into any park with access to select attractions, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, guests staying at Disney World Deluxe Resort Hotels or Disney Deluxe Villas can enjoy extended evening hours in select theme parks on select nights.

A new perk in 2025 for Disney World hotel guests has made literal waves and we’ll be curious to see how it evolves. We’re, of course, talking about the new water park perk!

Now through December 31st, 2025, Disney World hotel guests can enjoy water park admission on check-in day free of additional charge. This perk gets you into Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, depending on which water park is open on the first day of your visit.

Let’s talk about savings! If you purchase a Disney Resort Hotel Package, you can save up to 20% on dining for kids ages 3 to 9 as part of the Disney Dining Plan.
This credit-based meal plan has divided fans over the years regarding its worth, but getting it at a discount certainly helps sway folks into jumping in and using it!

If you want a leg up over other guests not staying on property, you’re in luck! Hotel guests with a Disney World hotel reservation can make Lightning Lane reservations for your entire length of stay (for up to a 10-night stay) up to 7 days in advance of your arrival.

The Lightning Lane system (Disney’s skip-the-line service) changed last year and now it’s easier than ever to book your Lightning Lanes ahead of your visit. However, instead of waiting 60 days out from each day of visit to make your reservations, hotel guests can book Lightning Lanes for their entire stay 60 days from their arrival date.

There are pros and cons to staying at a Disney World hotel, but these five really do sweeten the pot when deciding whether or not to stay at a Disney World hotel.

I know you can make Dining Reservations 60 days before your hotel stay, but Lightning Lane, too? I thought it was 7 days prior…not 60.
Hi Lynn! It’s still 7 days in advance if you have a Disney Resort reservation. Our apologies for the typo!
